Dauermantel vorgesehenen Hohlräumen in Verbindung steht.

EMI1.1
The subject of the present invention is an undivided or longitudinally divided block form with an exchangeable core made of steel or iron. In these block forms, the core is expediently designed in such a way that it adapts to the interior of the jacket and thus finds support against premature warping on it. For the stated purpose, ribs or approaches of the core can engage in corresponding recesses in the jacket, or the core can rest against ribs or approaches of the jacket. In this embodiment of the block shape, however, the core cannot expand freely as a result of the heating when the liquid material is poured in without deforming the outer parts or destroying the fastening devices of the latter.
The feature of the present invention is to be seen in the fact that the core is held resiliently in the permanent jacket so that it can expand freely in the circumferential direction when heated as a result of pouring the liquid material.
For the stated purpose, springs or equivalent members can be attached to the core, which are supported against the inner wall of the permanent jacket, or the core can be applied against one or more springs or the like provided on the inner wall of the outer jacket.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3.
As can be seen, n denotes the exchangeable core and b denotes the undivided or longitudinally divided permanent jacket. The permanent jacket, like the core, can be made from two or more pieces. In order to prevent distortion of the inner parts or the soul as much as possible, the latter is expediently provided with ribs or shoulders. These ribs or approaches can intervene in corresponding recesses of the permanent jacket. On the other hand, the parts of the permanent jacket can also be provided with ribs or shoulders, against which the soul rests.
The inner parts can be equipped with flanges at one or both ends, which make the core and jacket movable as a whole and cover the joints between the core and jacket so that no liquid metal can enter the gaps.
In order to avoid deformation or shattering of the outer jacket, according to the invention, one or more springs c are arranged on the core, which spring against the inner edge of the permanent jacket. so that the core can expand freely in the circumferential direction during the heating caused by the pouring in of the liquid material. The springs c used can also be attached to the permanent jacket and support themselves with their free ends against the core (Fig. 2). Of course, instead of the springs used, other un alente resilient members 7ur can also be used.
When using a split permanent jacket, as shown in FIG
Embodiment is shown. the clips provided for fastening the individual parts of the permanent jacket are designed to be resilient in a known manner (FIG. 3), so that the parts of the permanent jacket in this case move away from one another somewhat when the core is heated and expanded.
In order to obtain effective cooling of the core and the permanent jacket, according to a further embodiment (FIG. 2) during or after the pouring of the liquid material into the cavities between the core and the permanent jacket, air or
Water can be supplied and discharged, as a result of which the life of the block form is considerably extended. For the stated purpose, openings e or
Serve air or the coolant. Several block forms can be placed on a plate provided with cavities, which through suitable holes @ with the between the core and
Permanent jacket provided cavities in connection.
The air or the coolant is then filled into the cavity in the base plate. The air movement can also be supported by suction turbulence by fans or the like.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Undivided or longitudinally divided block form with an exchangeable core made of steel or iron, characterized in that the seak expands in the circumferential direction when the permanent jacket is heated! resiliently applied to the soul by means of resilient links.
