  Schutzschild.

  Protective shield.

The protective shields previously used for military purposes mostly consist of a steel plate that is either attached to the firearm or placed on the ground with a support. More advantageous than the straight or curved protective shields are protective shields which have an angular shape on which the projectile usually does not strike perpendicularly and is therefore deflected from its trajectory. This makes the impact
 EMI1.1

The drawing illustrates the subject matter of the invention in an exemplary embodiment. Figure 1 is a side view of a plate of the protective shield and Figure 2 shows the protective shield in perspective.

The protective shield consists of two correspondingly strong and large plates, advantageously steel plates, which are expediently designed, as FIG. 1 shows, and are connected to one another at the central part a to form a cross shield by any means (FIG. 2).

The protective shield is conveniently brought forward by rotating it around its horizontal axis in the direction of the arrow and provides the shooter with safe cover. The shield is advantageously made from corrugated sheet metal, the ribs being able to run either parallel or perpendicular to the horizontal axis. The known use of corrugated iron for protective shields is intended to be able to select thin material and thus to be able to reduce the weight of the shield, since the corrugated iron will penetrate less than flat plates of projectiles because the waves deflect or force the projectile.
