   Bei den Laufmänteln für die Luftreifen von Motorrädern oder Automobilen hat es bisher dem Laien immer Schwierigkeiten gemacht, mit einiger Sicherheit den Zeitpunkt festzustellen, in welchem die eigentliche Laufdecke so weit abgenutzt war, dass man sie erneuern musste, wobei es im besonderen darauf ankam, den totalen Verschleiss des Reifens zu verhüten. 



   Nach der vorliegenden Erfindung lässt sich der Grad der Abnutzung in der Weise ohne Schwierigkeiten feststellen, dass man in die Laufdecko in geeigneter Tiefe eine Einlage einbettet, die die Grenze der zulässigen Abnutzung der Lauffläche darstellt. Diese Markierung wird am besten in der Weise vorgenommen, dass man eine farbige Einlage aus Gummi, Gewebe oder dgl. unter der Lauffläche anbringt. Sobald infolge der Abnutzung der Lauffläche diese farbige Markierung hervortritt, weiss der Fahrer, dass es Zeit ist, die   L3ufdecke   abzunehmen und durch eine neue zu ersetzen.
