5. 26'4 Teile Benzidinmonosulfosäure werden tetrazotiert und mit 18'9 Teilen l- (p-Aminophenyl-)3-methyl-5-pyrazolon zum Zwischenprodukt vereinigt. Nach beendeter Kupplung l'misst man dasselbe langsam einlaufen zu einer sodaalkalischen Lösung des Farbstoffes : Sulfanilsäure (diazotiert) + m-Phenylendiamin und isoliert den etwas schleimigen Farbstoff nach Zusatz von etwas Kochsalz in metallglanzenden Kristallen. Auf Baumwolle gefärbt und mit Nitranilin entwickelt, erhält man ein kräftiges Braun von vorzüglichen Echtbeitseigenschaften.
