Method and apparatus for shaping and driving objects from fibrous materials held together by various binders.
Every malleable material which requires a more or less strong pressure to reproduce the shape exactly, usually requires a male die to carry out the pressure

The materials consisting of fibrous materials and hydraulic binders, especially when cement is used as a binder, have the protrusion. because they give off their excess water under a slight pressure and thereby on

If it is a question of producing plates with more or less pronounced reliefs instead of flat plates, then the uniform thickness of the plate itself is of some importance

When the lid is attached, water under pressure is filled into the space f left between the lid and the rubber sheet. and the same under pressure

set. This forces the material layer between the rubber sheet and the mold into all parts of the mold and presses it evenly.
Also, if the material has been squeezed before it is spread out onto the mold, it still contains water and air which would prevent it from being completely compressed and in some places would cause bubbles and porous parts; In order to allow air and water to escape, a layer of felt g (Fig. 2) is inserted between the mass and the rubber sheet, which can adapt to the shape of the model without tearing and and in a second joint with inserted wedges (Fig 2 and 3), in which it is only slightly pressed due to the wedges, leads to the outside.
The spread of the mass on the model is a very careful work to be done, since excess material in the cavities of the model and too thin layers on the protruding parts of the latter must be avoided.
When producing panels with only a slight relief, the work can be simplified by applying the material to the model in the form of sheets that are as soft as possible and produced using the known methods. As soon as these sheets are very soft and the reliefs do not present too sharp projections, the material shift caused by the entrainment of the rubber is sufficient to prevent cracks or to close any cracks that have formed.
