Check valve.
Spring-loaded check valves have the disadvantage that their load increases. the more the valve opens, which results in considerable throttling losses.
The invention now relates to a check valve which is not more, possibly even less, loaded in the open state than in its closed position. This is achieved in that the non-return valve has a leaky piston in its housing, the chambers of which are connected to spaces of different pressure in order to increase the adjusting force acting on closing the valve and the pressure medium access to this piston is throttled or blocked when the valve is opened, opens when it is closed.
Such a valve is illustrated in the drawing in one embodiment.
EMI1.1
are arranged downstream of the check valve e in the flow direction, a throttle disk f and a brake piston g designed as a differential piston. A leaky piston h is provided upstream of the valve in the flow direction. The chamber on the upper side of the piston h communicates with the valve inlet b through the bore i, the lower chamber is connected through a discharge line k with a location of low pressure. A cone 1 is also provided on the valve spindle d which, when the valve body e moves, more or less throttles the pressure medium influx to the piston h or, if necessary, closes it off completely.
In order to be able to change the counter-pressure that is set on the lower side of the piston h and thus the load on the valve as desired. a throttle element m is provided in the discharge line k. A vent valve designed as a safety valve is expediently arranged on the upper part of the housing a.
The mode of operation of this check valve is as follows: If liquid enters at b and valve body e blocks the flow, the upper side of piston A is connected to inlet b, so that the area on which the upward pressure acts , is relatively small. However, as soon as the valve body is raised by the pressure medium, a narrowing of the bore i through the cone l occurs
EMI1.2
by virtue of the valve linkage being moved downwards, however, the bore i is also exposed again, so that the pressure medium reaches the upper seat of the Kotbens h and the closing of the shut-off element e is accelerated.
The particular advantage of such a valve compared to the known ones is that while avoiding the hot spring load resulting throttle loss when the flow stops, the valve is forced to close even before the conveyed agent has returned.
