Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Kleiderhalter, bei welchem die Hose über eine unter dem Achseltell angeordnete Tragstange gelegt wird, und zwar wird gemäss der Erfindung die Hose durch eine Pressleiste festgehalten. reiche unter Vermittlung von an der Pressleiste angelenkten, mit dem Aufhängehaken verbundenen Hebeln bzw. Am Achselteil 1 ist die Tragstange 2 durch Hängearme befestigt. Von den Hebeln führen am oberen Ende Koppelglieder 6 zum Aufhängehaken 7 und die unteren Enden der Hebel 5 sind an der Pressleiste 8 angelenkt. Zu letzterem Behufe sind bei der dargestellten Ausführungsform an der Pressleiste U-förmige Schlitzbügel 9 befestigt, in deren Schlitze die Enden der Hebel 5 eingreifen und durch Querbolzen gehalten werden. Die Pressleiste kann an den Enden mit Führungslappen ausgestattet sein, durch welche sie längs der Hällgearme geführt wird.
Der Hals des Aufhängehakens kann in einer Führung 10 laufen.
Wird der Kleiderhalter aufgehängt, so wird das am Aufhingehaken wirkende Gesamtgewicht des Kleiderhalters und der Kleidungsstücke durch die lebel 5 auf die Pressleiste übertragen, und letztere wird kräftig die Hose gegen die Tragleiste drücken.
