Description

Process for the production of cardboard and utensils from beech wood waste.
The invention relates to a method for the utilization of beech wood waste, primarily that of red beech. It is known to process waste wood, including beech wood, in such a way that cellulose is produced from the waste.
In contrast to this, the present invention refrains from chemical processing of the wood, as in cellulose production, and the aim is to produce a wood pulp by mechanical processing of the beech wood waste. For this reason, cooking is not done under pressure as in cellulose production, i.e. with an overvoltage of the steam, but without overpressure, and only for a short duration compared to the previous methods, namely half an hour to an hour.
As a result, the waste product, which is not very valuable in itself, whose fibers would undoubtedly suffer a lot if treated like cellulose production, is spared and the wood flaws remain so firm that they can be used in the subsequent processing of the cooked waste in the usual refiners, wood crackers or Like. Remain long and firm enough to make usable cardboard out of them.
