The subject matter of the present invention relates, as a further development of the invention protected by patent no. 62926, pertaining to a device for encrypting and decrypting documents, dispatches and the like. To a special embodiment of the switch interposed in the electrical connection lines of the two typewriters and this consists The essence of the invention is that the basic circuit corresponding to the various cipher keys and consequently the cipher key can be modified by special contact carriers which can be inserted into the switching device.
The connection of the power connection points to each other in this contact carrier corresponds to a special cipher key and it is easy to see that the large number of contact points allows a myriad of variations in the connections, so that accordingly a large number of such exchangeable contact carriers can be formed Inserting into the switching device, the encryption and decryption device is forcibly subjected to a specific cipher key.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, and shows FIG. S of FIG. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment, while FIG. 2 illustrates a section along C-D of FIG.
On the base plate 1, in which the guide sleeve for the supply cable. 3 is inserted, three bolts 4 are provided on which the ring-shaped provided with matching holes

or 8, which are pressed against the contact springs 9 and 10 of the plate 1 by the wing nuts 6 when the plate 5 is tightened. The individual circuits, which number according to the number of letters. Numbers and similar characters are connected to the terminals 11, lead from these to the terminals 10, while the springs 9 are connected to the individual lines of the cable 3.
By optionally connecting the terminals 7 of the inner circle with individual terminals 8 of the outer circle of the plate 5, corresponding combinations can be formed, each combination of which corresponds to a special cipher key. The plate j is closed by means of a cover plate 1 which conceals the type of current conduction between the terminals 7 and 6 ′. The bolts 4 are, as FIG. 1 shows. arranged asymmetrically in order to exclude incorrect fastening of the plate 5 to the base plate 1, whereby errors in the choice of the cipher key are excluded.
Instead of using three bolts, any number of asymmetrically arranged bolts can be used. The cover plate 12 is fastened to the plate J by means of screws 7 with the interposition of sleeves 13.
Depending on the number of characters of the typographical machine used, any combination can be formed by optionally connecting the individual connection points 7 and 8 of the plate 3 and, depending on the number of possible combinations, the same number of plates can be produced as contact carriers and designated accordingly.
