So z.

Building toys consisting of sticks that are connected to one another by connecting pieces.
There are building toys that are made of wood or more or less elastic material and which enable a systematic construction by joining the individual parts.
Connection possibilities for building with building blocks and especially with timber are known, which are intended to prevent the building from collapsing, which can easily occur on small occasions.
Toys are also known which, using chopsticks and connecting pieces, allow construction in the most varied of ways. So z. B. Connections between two rods at any point of the rod, which can be made as well as at their endpoints. However, the purpose of the present invention is that. To create a building toy that corresponds as far as possible to the actual conditions that exist in practice in wooden and iron structures and only allows those connections in which the forces only occur in the nodes
In the drawing, Fig. 1 is an embodiment of a connecting piece with associated connecting rods in plan view, Fig. 2 also in side view. Fig. 3 shows connecting piece and rods connected in plan view, Fig. 4 also in side view with axle and wheel an embodiment of the possible connections, FIGS. 6 and 7 individual views.
The resiliently arranged connecting rods a, a are evenly provided with holes x, x at both ends. The connecting piece b has small cams y, y, which correspond in their mutual distance to the hole spacing x, x in the rods. The cams of the small connecting plates are created by pressing, riveting or in some other way and two of these plates are arranged parallel to one another in such a way that when the slightly compressed rods are inserted, they are resiliently clamped against the cams (see FIGS. 3 and 4). With a suitable arrangement of the cams, be it under 30, 45, 900 or the like, certain angular positions of the rods can then be achieved. The rods connected in this way can withstand a relatively high level of tension or pressure.
By joining together further connecting pieces and rods, rigid triangular connections and any roof or bridge truss constructions and the like can be produced from them.
