Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht dieser Platte und
Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht dieser Platte.

The invention relates to a metal plate for the production of load-bearing wood connections.
In timber construction, nodes are frictionally connected by laterally arranged metal plates. There are sheet metal plates with holes known into which a large number of metal nails are driven to connect the individual wooden parts in a node. Another type of plate has protruding tips which are applied to the plate or partially punched out of the same and bent up to the vertical. The tips of these plates are completely driven into the wood. Such tips usually have an elongated cross-sectional shape and are punched out in the same longitudinal direction of the plate and are therefore aligned in the same direction. This type of plate has the disadvantage that it absorbs the forces acting on the node connections from different directions with different effectiveness.
The loads absorbed by the tips punched out of the plate in their broad side have approximately twice the value as the loads absorbed at right angles to it. In addition, the angle between the longitudinal direction of the punched-out tips and the grain of the wood must be taken into account. In practical use, if the longitudinal direction of the panels to the grain direction of the wood was not precisely observed, serious differences in the calculation of the structural engineer resulted.
The aim of the invention is a plate which transmits forces of the same magnitude in practically all directions and therefore makes work easier due to its non-interchangeability - simplification and safety in use - with greater force transmission at the same time.
Such a plate of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized according to the invention in that the plate has pointed pins projecting on one side and having a round or elongated cross section, for example.
In a preferred embodiment with punched-out pins of elongated cross-section, the direction of the cross-section of the various pins preferably runs in different directions from one another.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it
1 shows an axonometric view of a metal plate with punched-out tongues,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of this plate and
Fig. 3 is a side view of this plate.
From the sheet metal plate 5 elongated, pointed tongues 6 are punched out along three sides from the underside and bent up along the fourth side until they are perpendicular to the plane of the plate. Here, the cross section of the tongue 6 is shaped into a rounded shape with a concave inside 9, to be precise up to the point of bending of the sheet metal plate. An elongated punched hole 7 is created, which opens into a point.
The tongues are punched out in pairs, with the two tongues of a pair turned through 1800 facing each other. An advantageous arrangement now consists in that adjacent pairs in a row are rotated by 90. The concave broad surfaces of four adjacent tongues - each denoted by 6 in the figures - are thus each rotated 90o to one another. The load capacity is distributed and increased in all directions.
One embodiment variant consists in that tapering pins with a round cross section are fastened vertically on the plate, whereby they are applied using the electric spot welding process.
The round cross section increases the load capacity in different directions compared to a known plate with aligned tongues of elongated cross section.
