Facility for fluorescence examinations.
The present invention, in conjunction with the device according to patent no. 57597, provides a means of temporarily and quickly illuminating the object with visible rays when examining the fluorescence phenomena of objects, for example by means of a microscope. For this purpose, a disc with a fluorescent layer that can be easily switched on and off is placed in the path of the fluorescence-exciting rays in front of the object, which then, when it is switched on, illuminates the examined object with its visible fluorescent light.
If you want to illuminate the object with white light, you have to produce the fluorescent layer from a suitable mixture of different egg color (e.g. red, green, blue) fluorescent substances so that their combined fluorescent light is white. Such a mixture can be made of solid substances, such as small crystals fluorescing in different colors, using a binding agent, and also consist of suitable liquids or solutions, which are expediently used in such a way that a transparent auxiliary material such as gelatin, with the same soaks. Should the fluorescent layer on the front be protected by a cover glass. so it must have the property of allowing fluorescence-exciting rays to pass through, e.g.
B. consist of quartz.
A fluorescent layer of the first type exists, for example. from a mixture of small crystals of red fluorescent magnesium platinum cyanur, green fluorescent barium platinum cyanur and blue fluorescent potassium cyanur, which is fixed with the help of gelatin on a glass plate, while an example of the second kind is given by a gelatin layer connected to a glass plate, which is with a mixture is soaked in red fluorescent rhodamine solution, green fluorescent sodium fluorescein solution and blue fluorescent aesculin solution.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Device for observing or projecting an object according to patent no. 57597, characterized in that a fluorescent layer is arranged between the object and the light source so that it can be switched on in order to temporarily generate illumination with visible light.
