   Bei Schneid- und Schweissapparaten gewöhnlicher Art tritt die die Hitze erzeugende Stichflamme ohneweiters aus der Düse aus ; ein Schneiden oder Schweissen unter Wasser ist aber mit diesem Gerät unmöglich, weil, falls die Stichflamme beim Eintauchen in das Wasser wirklich nicht   erlöscht,   doch soviel Wärme durch Dampfbildnng absorbiert wurde, dass der zu trennende Gegenstand nicht genug erwärmt werden könnte, um eine Trennung oder Schweissung zu erzielen. 



   Es bietet nun, namentlich bei eisernen Wrackteilen, beim Dichten von Lecks usw., ein Schneiden und Schweissen unter Wasser wesentliche Vorteile. 



   Die vorliegende Erfindung erreicht dieses dadurch, dass vor der Düse e der taucherglockenähnliche Raum f angeordnet ist. 



   Nach der Entzündung der Stichflamme über Wasser wird der Schieber oder die Drosselklappe 9 geschlossen und so der Apparat unter Wasser geführt.
