Method for the preparation of diethyl bromide acetylurea.
Patent specification No. 57 143 protects the preparation of bromine diethyl acetyl isourea ethers.
It has now been found that these compounds can be converted smoothly into the known urea derivative described in patent specification No. 57143 by heating the bromo diethyl acetyl isourea ethers in the form of their salts or with the addition of acids with or without a solvent to a higher temperature. The reaction process can be z. B. Express by the following equation-
EMI1.1
EMI1.2
isoureail is converted into the corresponding urea by treatment with acid at a higher temperature. This special isourea ether contains two phenyl radicals and is therefore of course much more stable than the products used in the present process.
It was surprising that when this latter, complex bromodiethylazetyl isoureaether was heated, a smooth conversion would take place without saponification of the products, since these bodies decompose into crotonic acid derivatives with elimination of hydrogen bromide even if they are carelessly recrystallized or if boiled too long is only loosely bound to them and is easily split off (see .. Medical Clinic "No. 47, 1910, page 1864, above).
Example 1: 150 parts of strong hydrochloric acid are poured over 50 parts of bromodiethylazetylisourea methyl ether and heated for some time on the water bath. With the development of chloromethyl, the bromine diethyl acetylurea is deposited. It is cleaned by dissolving it in the diluted alcohol.
Example 2: 75 parts of diethyl bromoacetylisourea methyl ether chlorohydrate are heated to 130 in an oil bath. The diethylbromoacetylurea is formed with elimination of chloromethyl, which can be purified by dissolving from alcohol.
Instead of the bromodiethylazetyl methyl ether, other bromodiethylazetylisourea alkyl or aralkyl ethers can also be used. You can also use the salts with or without the addition of solution or. Heat thinners to a higher temperature.
