Metallfolle mit lichtempfi-ndlicher EmLilsionsschichte.
EMI1.1
photographischer Bilder.

Metal filing with a light-sensitive enamel layer.
EMI1.1
photographic images.
Various processes are known for producing relief-like photographic images. However, they were difficult to introduce because of their inconvenience, which is not the case with the present method, since only a soft metal foil coated with a light-sensitive emulsion is used, which can be marketed ready for use.
The image is copied or enlarged from a negative onto this soft metal sheet, exactly as it is on paper, and then toned or developed, depending on the emulsion applied (chlorine or bromide silver, etc.). This soft metal foil with the now finished image, after it has been washed out exactly like any other photographed image or dry plate, is now placed in a semi-moist state in a clamping frame, and the parts of the image that appear above are pressed out from the back using a ball and embossing rod . When completely dry, the picture will look out
EMI1.2
Figure rolled back flat by means of a hard rubber roller; Finer indentations can now be pressed in from the picture side with an embossing rod.
Every reasonably talented photographer or amateur can produce raised images with this emulsified soft metal foil, which in turn can, contrary to the past, be made even in the smallest format.
The production of expensive molds is completely eliminated. The indentation on the back can be filled with plaster of paris or the like.
In the drawing, the process for producing the embossed image is illustrated schematically. The emulsion layer: 3 is applied to the soft metal foil 1 and the metal plate is held in place in the frame 3 of any type when the soft metal foil is processed by the correspondingly designed pressing tool 4.
