Locking device for the closing flap of containers in their open position.
The invention relates to a device for securing the closure flap of containers, in particular sales containers for coffee, cocoa and the like. In its open position, this device essentially consists of a fixed disc, which has a nose provided with an inclined contact surface, behind which snaps the spring attached to the closing flap and dragging on the disc with its end when the flap is open. This is designed in such a way that one pressure on the flap is sufficient to lift the Schteiff spring out again. The spring is tensioned and consequently exerts pressure on the flap. which acts on the closure of the flap.
This effect of the spring is particularly important for devices which have to take up coffee, tea, cocoa and similar substances and where the oily dust that forms during removal could get stuck in the hinges and prevent the flap from moving .
The drawing shows the invention, namely FIG. 1 illustrates a coffee dispensing device with the new locking device for the flap in a front view, and FIG. 2 shows the same in a side view, while FIGS. 3, 4 and o show the different positions of the locking spring emerge from the locking disc.
The disk n is advantageously fastened centrally to the axis b of the flap c, and a nose e provided with an inclined contact surface d is attached to its circumference.
Around the circumference of the disc a lies a slip spring j which is attached to the flap c and whose free end is bent into a loop g or provided with a similarly designed locking piece. If the flap c is closed, the spring f rests against the circumference of the disk a without tension (FIG. 3). If the flap is raised and brought into the position according to FIG. 4, the end g of the slide spring f slides open

whereby the flap is fixed in the open position. In order to bring the flap back into its final position, it is only necessary to exert a slight pressure on it, so that the spring f moves into the position according to FIG.
In doing so, the spring is tensioned and consequently exerts a pressure on the flap c, supporting itself against the nose e. by
EMI1.2
The contact surface of the nose e acts in such a way that the pressure of the spring t 'on the flap c becomes less the closer the flap approaches its horizontal position, the greater the moment from the dead weight of the flap and its lever arm.
