    Hoch8pannung8-lsolator   mit isoliertem Schutzdach. 



   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein   Hochspannungs-Isolator,   der ein Schutzdach aus bruchsicherem, gegen mechanische Beschädigungen, z. B. Steinwürfe, widerstandsfähigen Material besitzt und der am Kopf oberhalb dieses Schutzdaches mit einer umlaufenden Ausladung von nasenförmigem Querschnitt versehen ist,. die den Leitungsdraht gegen dieses Schutzdach isoliert. Es ist eben der Zweck der neuen Einrichtung, eine sichere Isolation zwischen den genannten beiden Teilen herbeizuführen. Das bruchsichere Schutzdach braucht keineswegs notwendigerweise, wie das bei ähnlichen Einrichtungen der Fall ist, aus Metall zu bestehen, vielmehr kann auch Hartgummi, Fiber, Asbest, Holz und dgl. zu seiner Herstellung verwendet werden. 



   Eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des neuen Isolators ist in der Zeichnung veranschaulich. Der Isolator kann beliebig viele Mäntel a haben, die sich alle unter dem bruchsicheren Schutzdach b befinden. Über diesem Schutzdach hat der Kopf o des Isolators die eingangs bereits erwähnte umlaufende Ausladung e von nasenförmigem Querschnitt. 



   Diese Ausladung besitzt an ihrer Unterseite einen ringförmigem Hohlraum und die nach aussen verbleibende Kante bildet eine Tropfkante, von der aus Regentropfen oder etwa auf dom Isolatorkopf sich kondensierende Feuchtigkeit auf das Schutzdach b herabtropft, während die Ringnut der Ausladung e gänzlich trocken bleibt, so dass hiedurch eine wirksame Isolation des in bekannter Weise in die Rinne   9   eingelegten Leitungsdrahtes gegen das Schutzdach erzielt wird, also eine Ableitung des Stromes nach dem Schutzdach hin nicht stattfinden kann.
