Description

EMI1.1

EMI1.1
It has been shown that the insulation of electrical aerial cables of low rigidity, if the cables are attached to fixed points, is destroyed after a short time at the attachment points. The reason for this lies in the fact that such cables, due to their low rigidity, vibrate considerably even in wet winds, so that the insulation rubs against the fastening points almost constantly. The same phenomenon occurs when such cables are suspended from suspension wires. The insulation is destroyed not only at the points where the cable enters the cable muns attached to the masts, but also at the many suspension points.
Armouring the cable does not prevent the insulation from becoming brittle, especially in the vicinity of the cable sleeves.
The invention is intended to eliminate the abuses mentioned; It is also valuable that the use of an expensive suspension wire is avoided and, if the cable is reasonably stiff and has sufficient skill, armouring can even be dispensed with.
The invention consists in that not only the longitudinal braces are suspended freely swinging on brackets in the manner known from contact wires, but also the connecting pieces (connecting sleeves, branch sleeves) can be moved in this way by pendulums directly on brackets
EMI1.2
the cable is not burdened by the weight of the connectors.
In the figure, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The cable a is suspended swinging by pendulum b on the arm c and braced; d is a cable sleeve attached to bracket c by pendulum f.
