   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zur   Rauch-und Geruchlosmachung   der Abgase von Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, insbesondere bei Fahrzeugen und dgl. 



   In der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungsform, teilweise im Schnitt, veranschaulicht. 



   Durch den Rohrstutzen 4 gelangen die Abgase der Maschine in den   Hohlkörper   6 und weiter in bekannter Weise durch Öffnungen 9 der Rohre 7 und 8 in Hohlräume der diese Öffnungen umschliessenden aneinanderliegenden Teller 10. Durch die Ringschlitze zwischen den   Holiltellern   10 entweichen die Abgase fein verteilt in Freie, so dass sie, von der Aussenluft zersetzt, unsichtbar und geruchlos werden. 



   Die zwischen den Rohren 7 und 8 angebrachte Feder 11 hat den Zweck, die beweglichen Hohlteller 10 zusammenzuhalten   und bei stärkerer   Abgaseinströmung die erforderliche Auseinanderbewegung der Teller zu ermöglichen. 



   Die Hohlteller 10 könnten ebensogut auch durch ihr Eigengewicht so zusammengehalten werden, dass sie dem   einströmenurl   Gas eine gleichmässige Verteilung und Entweichung ermöglichen. 



   Die Reinigung der Vorrichtung geschieht selbsttätig, sobald die Feder 11, sei es mit der Hand oder mittels einer besonderen Zugvorrichtung, zurückgezogen wird, weil die   Hohlteller   dann frei liegen und die durchströmenden Gase den angesammelten Schmutz entfernen ; auch kann letzterer mit Wasser bequem abgespritzt werden.

   The exhaust gases of the machine pass through the pipe socket 4 into the hollow body 6 and further in a known manner through openings 9 of the tubes 7 and 8 into cavities in the adjacent plates 10 surrounding these openings so that, when decomposed by the outside air, they become invisible and odorless.

   The hollow plates 10 could just as well be held together by their own weight in such a way that they enable the inflowing gas to be evenly distributed and escaped.



   The device is cleaned automatically as soon as the spring 11 is withdrawn, either by hand or by means of a special pulling device, because the hollow plates are then exposed and the gases flowing through remove the accumulated dirt; the latter can also be conveniently hosed down with water.
