Bei der in Fig. 4 dargestellten Ausführungsform sind eine Anzahl geneigter Röhren 1 vor- handen, die an den Enden durch Kopfstücke 24 verbunden sind. Die Röhren und Kopfstücke liegen innerhalb des Verbrennungsraumes 25 eines Ofens, in dem geeignete Leitplatten 26 angeordnet sind. In den Kopfstücken sind Arbeitslöcher mit Deckeln 27 vorgesehen. 28 ist der Öl- einlass, 29 der Gasauslass.
Es ist wünschenswert, die Rohre oder Kammern, welche die Zersetzungsmasse enthalten, etwas zu neigen, und das Öl in das untere Ende des geneigten Rohres oder der Kammer einzulassen, da diese Neigung wesentlich dazu"beiträgt, um den Durchgang von unfixiertem Kohienwasserstoff durch den Gaserzeuger zu verhindern oder zu vermindern. Die in Fig. 3 dargestellte V of11chtung wird im allgemeinen, obgleich es nicht notwendig ist, in geneigter Stellung verwendet werden, ebenso wie die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Vorrichtung.
