Façon turning tool for turning buttons.
The Façon turning steels used for turning buttons have only one cutting edge, EO that with one steel only a certain button shape can be turned. The consequence of this was that a special turning tool was required for each button shape. Apart from the large number of different turning tools required, there was another drawback that if a certain button shape was no longer manufactured, the turning tool could not be used for any other purpose.
According to the present invention, the façondrebstabl is now provided on several sides with grooves or grooves, each of which is designed in its cross-section according to a different button shape. This makes it possible to produce several button facons with one and the same turning tool, depending on whether one or the other of the grooves is ground. After all, two different Faqon cutting edges can be ground directly on a turning tool. As a result of the innovation, it is no longer necessary to keep a large stock of turning tools and, moreover, every turning tool is fully utilized; because if one button shape is no longer produced, the turning tool is used for another button shape.
The subject matter of the present invention is explained in more detail on the drawings in an exemplary embodiment. Fig. 1 shows in cross section the new turning tool, Figs. 2 and 3 show in plan view the use of a turning tool for two different button facons.
According to the present invention, the FacondTohstahl n is provided on several sides with grooves b, c, d and e or grooves, each of which has a cross section according to one
