Verfahren zur Konservierung von Holz und dgl.
Die Verwendung der Schwermetallsalze der Flusssäure zur Konservierung von Holz und dgl., derart, dass das Holz nacheinander, und zwar in beliebiger Reihenfolge mit der neutralen Lösung eines Schwermetallsalzes und mit der neutralen Lösung eines Alka1ifluorids imprägniert wird,-ist bekannt. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Konservierung von Holz unter Anwendung der Fluoride beziehungsweise Doppelfluorido der seltenen Erdmetalle. Die Salze der seltenen Erdmetalle bieten gegenüber den bisher verwendeten Schwermetallsalzen den Vorteil, dass sie schon an sich stark antiseptisch wirken.
Infolgedessen wird bei Anwendung der Fluoride beziehungsweise Doppelfluoride der seltenen Erdmetalle die antispptische Wirkung der Fluorsalze mit der schon vorhandenen antiseptischen Wirkung der Salze der seltenen Erdmetalle verbunden.
Bei Ausführung des Verfahrens wird das Holz (Schwelle) oder dgl. in bekannter Weise nacheinander, und zwar in beliebiger Reihenfolge mit einer Lösung eines Fluor- salsas, beispielsweise des Alkalifluorid8, und einer Lösung eines Salzes der seltenen Erdmetalle, beispielsweise des Sulfats, zweckmässig der Zeriterden oder Zeriterdengemenge, imprägniert.
Die Salze worden zweckmässig in solchen Mengen angewendet, dass bei der Umsetzung ausser Ftuorsäure keiue freie Metallsäure zurückbleibt.

The subject of the present invention is a method for preserving wood using the fluorides or double fluorido of the rare earth metals. The salts of the rare earth metals have the advantage over the previously used heavy metal salts that they have a strong antiseptic effect.
As a result, when using fluorides or double fluorides of the rare earth metals, the antiseptic effect of the fluorine salts is combined with the already existing antiseptic effect of the salts of the rare earth metals.
When executing the method, the wood (sleeper) or the like is in a known manner one after the other, in any order with a solution of a fluorous salsa, for example the alkali fluoride8, and a solution of a salt of the rare earth metals, for example the sulfate, expediently Zeriterden or Zeriterdengege, impregnated.
The salts are expediently used in such amounts that, apart from fluoric acid, no free metallic acid remains during the reaction.
