Vorrichtung zum Offen halten von Büchern.
Bei neu eingebundenen Büchern wird es stets als lästig empfunden, dass die Einbanddeckel und Seiten nach dem Aufschlagen nicht flach auf dem Tisch oder dgl. aufliegen, sondern das Bestreben haben, wieder in den geschlossenen Zustand zurückzukehren. Man beseitigt diesen Übelstand meistens dadurch, dass man die Einbanddeckel samt den Blättern um den Falz nach rückwärts biegt. Hiedurch wird aber häufig der Einband beschädigt. Namontlich bei neuen Geschäftsbüchern ist das Nichtnachliegen lästig, da dadurch das Schreiben erschwert wird.
Vorliegende Erfindung beseitigt den Nachteil und hat ausserdem noch den Vorteil, dass sie das Buch auch in der Verschlusslage hält.
Es wird beides gemäss der Erfindung dadurch erreicht, dass zweckmässig vor dem Einbringen der Blätter in den Einband auf dessen Innenseite ein Gelenkband befestigt wtrd, dessen EudteHe zu dem Mittelteile unter Federwirkung stehen, derart, dass die Verschluf3- und die Offenlage des Gelenkbandes die Ruhelage der Feder darstellen, so dass nach erfolgtem Aufschlagen bzw. Schliessen des Buches die Feder bestrebt ist, das Gelenkband in der Ofenlage bzw. in der Verschlusslage festzuhalten.
Die Zeichnung zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung, und zwar in Fig. 1 einen Bucheinband geschlossen im Querschnitt mit der Vorrichtung in Stirnansicht und in Strichtinien eine Deckelseite abgebrochen aufgeschlagen mit dem auf ihr befestigten Teile der Vorrichtung. Fig. 2 zeigt die Vorrichtung in Draufsicht auseinandergebreitet und Fig. 3 einen Teil der Vorrichtung im Querschnitt.
Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem Gelenkband, dessen Endteile a, al auf den inneren Deckelseiten b, b'befestigt werden. Der Mittelteil des Gelenkbandes besteht ua wesentlichen aus zwei Teilen einer Platte c, welche über der Innenseite des Einband- rückeus d liegt und an ihren Enden Aussparungen zur Aufnahme der Drehachsen a, a1 besitzt, und einr Flachfeder e. Der Querschnitt dieser Achsen zeigt in Richtung der aus- emandergebroiteten Vorrichtung auf einer Seite Abrundung und ist an zwei Stellen ab- gdlaeht.
Es hat dieses zur Folge, dass beim Umlegen der Endteile a, al von der Verschlussin die Offenlage oder umgekehrt die auf der Platte c befestigte Flachfeder e beansprucht wird. Die adttile werden daher von der Feder e in der Verschluss-bzw. Offenlage festgehalten.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Vorrichtung zum Offenhalten von Büchern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus einem Gelenkband besteht, dessen Endteile zu dem Mittelteil unter Federwirkung stehen, derart, dass die Feder die Endteile in der Ofenlage festhält.
