Elastischer Schussfänger.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein aus Panzerplatte oder Drahtgewebe hergestellter Schussfänger, der in Form eines Kegelmantels oder eines Schirmes ausgebildet ist und beim Gebrauch auf das Gewehrrohr oder von dem Körper des Mannes aufgehängt wird, so dass das feindliche Geschoss wirkungslos zu Boden fällt.
Auf der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand in zwei Ausführungsformen dargestellt, und zwar in Fig. 1 in Form eines aus Drahtgewebe hergestellten Schirmes, der mittels als Schraubenfeder ausgebildeten Speichen ausgespannt und mit seiner die Speichen tragenden mittelständigen Hülse auf das Gewehrrohr aufgesteckt wird, so dass dessen Mündung etwas über den Scheitel des Schirmes hinausragt, wobei eine Öffnung dortselbst für das Zielen vorgesehen ist. In Fig. 2 ist die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Ausführungsform in zusammengeklappter Stellung und in eine Traghülse gesteckt, dargestellt.
Ausser dieser dargestellten Ausführungsform können die Schussfänger auch derart gebaut werden, dass sie aus mehreren auf eine gemeinsame Achse hintereinander gleich- wachsig aufgesteckten Kegelmantelflächen bestehen und in der Achsenrichtung gegen Federwirkung verschoben werden können. Die Anzahl dieser Kegelmantelflächen ist beliebig ; zweckmässig ist dabei, die hintereinanderfolgenden Kegelmantelflächen allmählich zu ver- grössern und zu ihrer Führung beim allfälligen Verschieben um die Hauptachse gleichachsig angeordnete Hilfsachsen anzuwenden.
Derartige Schussfänger werden mittels Hahn oder dgl. vor dem Körper derart aufgehängt, dass die Spitzen der Kegelmantelflächen in die wahr- scheinliche Schussrichtung fallen. Das Geschoss trifft die vorderste Mantelfläche, prallt von dieser zurück, wobei die zweite, dritte, allenfalls auch die weitere Mäntelfläche infolge des heftigen Stosses gegen Federwirkung achsial verschoben werden, wodurch die Kraft des Geschosses vernichtet wird, ohne den Mann verletzt zu haben.
