Bei den gewöhnlichen Pressen mit Spindel oder Zahnstange und daran befestigter Pressplatte muss diese bei schichtenweisem Einfüllen und Pressen zum Zwecke der Nachfüllung jedesmal ganz hochgehoben werden. Um diese zeitraubende Arbeit zu vereinfachen, wird nach der Erfindung der die Spindel oder Zahnstange mit ihrer Pressplatte und das Getriebegehäuse tragende Arm um eine vertikale Achse drehbar, also zur Seite schwenkbar, angeordnet, wodurch der Raum oberhalb des Presskastens zum unbehinderten Einfüllen gänzlich freigelegt werden kann.
Ferner ist eine Anordnung angebracht, um das Auswerfen des fertigen Ballens zu erleichtern ; sie besteht darin, dass ein in der Mitte der Bodenvorderkante befestigter Gurt durch den Kastenraum bis zur Oberkante der Kastenrückwand gelegt ist und nach Fertigstellung eines Ballens an der Pressplatte befestigt wird, um

Der freitragende Arm 18 des den Presskasten 1 mit dem Gehäuse 6 verbindenden Trägers 5 ist um Zapfen 19 bzw. Bolzen 20 in horizontaler Richtung drehbar, so dass er nach Lösen einer die Pressstellung sichernden Verriegelung und wenn die Pressplatte sich oberhalb der Kastenoberkante befindet, zur Seite geschwenkt werden kann, wodurch der Raum über dem Presskasten freigelegt wird. Die Verriegelung besteht z. B. aus einem Winkelhebel, dessen Schenkel 21 in die sich deckenden Kerben zweier Nasenpaare 22, 23 einfällt.
Das zum Herauskippen des Ballens dienende Organ 26, z. B. ein Gurt, ist in der Mitte der Bodenvorderkante befestigt und durch den Kastenraum bis zur Oberkante der Kastenrückwand gelegt. Sobald ein Ballen fertig gepresst und geschnürt ist, wird das freie Ende des Gurtes durch Einhaken oder dgl. mit der Pressplatte 8 verbunden. worauf man durch Ilochkurheln der Pressplatte den Ballen aus dem schon vorher von der Vorderwand befreitt'n Kasten werfen kann. Statt eines Gurtes können auch mehrere angeordnet sein.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Vorrichtung zum Pressen von Abfällen aller Art, wie Papier und dgl., zu versandfertigen Ballen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der das Getriebegehäuse (6) mit der Press- platte (8) frei tragende Arm (18) zur Seite geschwenkt werden kann.
