Abstract

Für die Kommunikation in einem Satellitennetzwerk (100), das einen Hub (102), einen Satelliten (101), ein entferntes Endgerät (122, 123), einen Upstream-Switch (106), der mit dem Hub (102) verbunden ist, wenigstens ein Upstream-Kommunikationsgerät (107), das mit dem Upstream-Switch (106) verbunden ist, und mehrere entfernt angeschlossene Kommunikationsgeräte (124, 125), die mit dem entfernten Endgerät verbunden sind, aufweist, wird das Empfangen an dem Hub (102) über den Satelliten (101) von dem entfernten Endgerät (122, 123) einer Korrespondenzinformationen tragenden Nachricht, die mehrere Korrespondenzinformationseinträge enthält, wobei jeder Korrespondenzinformationseintrag eine virtuelle Netzwerkkennung identifiziert, die mit einer MAC- (Media Access Control)-Adresse von einem der mehreren entfernt angeschlossenen Kommunikationsgeräte (124, 125), die mit dem entfernten Endgerät (122, 123) verbunden sind, assoziiert ist; und das Senden einer Daten tragenden Nachricht von einem der Upstream-Kommunikationsgeräte (107) zu einem der mehreren entfernt angeschlossenen Kommunikationsgeräte (124, 125) über den Hub (102), den Satelliten (101) und das entfernte Endgerät (122, 123) auf der Grundlage eines Korrespondenzinformationseintrags in der Korrespondenzinformationen tragenden Nachricht offenbart.
