   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zur Lüftung der Kopfbedeckung. 



   Die Fig. 1 zeigt das in der   üblichen   Weise im Hute befestigte Schweissleder a in gestreckter Lage. Bei   b   ist das Schweissleder nach   abwärts umklappbar (Fig. 2).   Bei d ist es, wie die Fig. 1 und 2 dartun, nach der entgegengesetzten Seite umgebogen, so dass der Abschnitt zwischen b und d aus zwei miteinander (durch Leim oder Kautschuk oder ähnliche Mittel) verklebten oder auch aus zusammengesteppten Lagen des Leders gebildet wird. Bei c beendet sich, wie die Fig. 3 und 4 zeigen, dem ganzen Schweissleder entlang eine Reihe ausgestanzter Löcher, die zur Lüftung bestimmt sind. 



     Nötigenfalls   soll zwischen die zwei Lagen Leder eine Einlage gemacht werden (etwa aus Metallblech, Zelluloid, Steifleinen, Rosshaargeflecht und   dgl.).   



   Das Wesen der Erfindung bildet die Einrichtung, dass das Schweissleder je nach Bedarf durch Herunterklappen zur Lüftung verwendet oder hinaufgeklappt getragen werden kann, in welcher Lage es dem Hut, genau wie jedes andere, als gewöhnliches   Schweiss-   leder dient.

   Fig. 1 shows the welded leather a fastened in the usual manner in the hat in an extended position. At b, the welding leather can be folded downwards (Fig. 2).      If necessary, an insert should be made between the two layers of leather (for example made of sheet metal, celluloid, stiff linen, horsehair braid and the like).



   The essence of the invention is the device that the welding leather can be used for ventilation by being folded down or carried folded up as required, in which position it serves the hat, just like any other, as ordinary welding leather.
