Abstract

Zur Messung und Überwachung der Materialstärke von Folien ist es üblich, über die endlos produzierte Folie eine Traverse zu setzen, an der beabstandet zueinander mehrere Abstandssensoren angeordnet sind und den Abstand zur Folie messen. Durch eine analoge Anordnung zu beiden Seiten der Folie (10) kann bei bekanntem Abstand zwischen den Abstandssensoren (22, 32) jedes Paars korrespondierender Abstandssensoren (22, 32) die Foliendicke ermittelt werden. Die Erfindung vermindert die Kosten für die erforderliche Vielzahl an Sensoren und vergrößert zudem die Messpunktdichte und Genauigkeit durch eine Anordnung der Sensoren (22, 32) auf über die Traversen (20, 30) verfahrbaren Schlitten (21, 31) und einer extrem biegesteifen Ausführung der Traversen (20, 30) aus Granit.
