(Siehe die französischen Patente Nr. 366414 (M. A. E. Baoigalupi) und Nr. 377735 (Société Anonyme Internationale, per i Cliches in Celluloide,, Bacigalupi".)

they are placed on a base, which can be made of any material, such as wood, ebonite, zinc, etc. (See French patents No. 366414 (M. A. E. Baoigalupi) and No. 377735 (Société Anonyme Internationale, per i Cliches in Celluloide ,, Bacigalupi ".)
These materials have no other purpose than to create a natural height compensation.

However, precisely because they want to spare the original cliché, the processes just described presuppose the existence of the same.

The present invention, however, consisting of a printing plate from which the cliché shape is obtained by means of cutting out, aims precisely at the production of the original cliché, the upper cliché shapes are made from the thin celluloid layer, the deeper cliché shapes. formed from the linoleum underlay.

In the present case, the linoleum underlay is therefore an essential component of the invention, which cannot be replaced by other joints according to the nature and merit of the invention.

These panels are produced in the following way: A linoleum panel two to four millimeters thick just produced by mechanical processing, such as calendering or the like, is connected to a thin celluloid panel of the same size, approximately 0.15 to 0.30 millimeters thick. For this purpose, the celluloid plate is evenly coated with a liquid composed of a solution of 30 grams of camphor and one liter of 95 percent alcohol, ether, acetone or a similar binder
 EMI2.1
Linoleum plate and both plates are exposed to very strong compressive pressure in the connection described.

The fusion of celluloid with linoleum achieved in this way can also be achieved by pouring celluloid mass in a thin layer onto the linoleum plate using suitable devices in a hot liquid state, then subjecting it to hydraulic pressure and then rolling it out.

The connection between celluloid and linoleum obtained through the compression or the infusion is extremely durable.

    PATENT CLAIMS-.

   1. Printing plate for cutting out clichés, the surfaces of which are made of a thin celluloid layer, the depressions of which are carved out from an underground that is closely connected to it, characterized in that this base is made of linoleum and is intended to accommodate the cliché depressions.
