Die Wirkungsweise der Maschine ist folgende :
Sobald der Siebzylinder 25 mit den Gusskörpern oder dergl. besehickt worden ist, wird er in die Trommel eingesetzt, wobei die äusseren U-Eisen 26 mit den Führungsstangen 29 an der inneren Fläche der Trommel in Eingriff treten. Die Türe 18 wird dann geschlossen und verbolzt.
Nun wird das Luftventil 38 und die Sandklappe geöffnet, die Antriebswelle in Drehung versetzt und die Trommel und der Siebzylinder mit der entsprechenden Geschwindigkeit gedreht, um die Gusskörper oder dergl. in beständiger Bewegung und Lagenänderung zu erhalten. Der durch das Sieb 25 austretende Sand wird durch die Schieber 31 abgehoben und in den Trog 30 zurückgebracht, wo ihn das Rührwerk beständig aufrührt. Entstehender Staub wird durch das Loch 39 von der die Düsen verlassenden Luft mitgerissen.
Sobald das Sandgelbäse lange genug auf die nusskörper. oder dergl. eingewirkt hat, wird die Trommel angehalten und das Sandgebläse abgesperrt, die Türe geöffnet, der Siebzylinder herausgezogen und entleert, worauf er für die Aufnahme einer neuen Beschickung und einer neuerlichen Durchführung des Verfahrens bereit ist.

1.
