Liquid fuel carburetors.
The invention relates to carburetors, by means of which gas is prepared by intimate contact and mixing of liquid fuels with air and then delivered to the point of consumption. It is known to design the gasification channel in a zigzag shape on a plate-shaped part in order to achieve the largest possible evaporation surface for the carburizing liquid and to provide this channel with a cover part. This design has the disadvantage that the gas residues that arise during gas preparation settle in the pre-gassing channel and, if there is sufficient accumulation, block it. The residue can be removed by completely dismantling the Ver. gasers are associated with great difficulties, which must result in operational disruptions for a long time.
The present invention is intended to remedy this inconvenience by making the gasification duct easily accessible for cleaning purposes without detaching pipes and by exposing it at any time.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing, namely FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the carburetor, FIG. 2 shows a section along line A - B of FIG.
The carburetor consists essentially of two parts, the lower part a being plate-shaped and containing the gasification duct b, the upper part c serving as a removable cover. The spiral shape is advantageously chosen for the gasification channel b because it offers less air resistance than the known zigzag shape of the same cross section. The guide surfaces of the channel for the fuel descend too gently towards the middle. The cover part c of the gasifier is equipped with a cap d which forms the mixing space, the connection between the upper and lower part being established by the pipe e. The fuel is fed to the carburetor through line f and the air through line 9.
In order to make the gasification channel b easily accessible without loosening the pipelines for the purpose of cleaning, the channels f and g as well as the outlet channel are for the finished
Gas mixture attached to the lower part a of the carburetor, with a channel 1 the connection path from the M; schappe d to the point of consumption.
To preheat the fuel in the channel b and the gas mixture in the
Cap d can expediently be cast in the part a of the carburetor an annular chamber i, respectively, from a suitable heat source. when using the carburetor for engines through the exhaust gases. is heated by means of the tubes k. The den is expedient
Gasification channel b and the annular chamber i containing the lower part of the gasifier ans a single cast body, the rough inner channel surfaces of which promote gasification.
A collecting space h can be provided for receiving gas residues.
