Vorrichtung zum Reinigen von Tabakspfeifen.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Reinigen von Tabakspfeifen mit kochendem Alkohol, welche sich dadurch kennzeichnet, dass die den Alkohol enthaltende Glasröhre auf einem auf der Heizlampe drehbaren Bügel angeordnet ist und die Heizlampe sich an einem Ende eines vorzugsweise aus Draht hergestellten Trägers befindet, an dessen entgegengesetztem Ende ein beweglicher Träger angelenkt ist, der aus verschieden grossen Ringen zur Aufnahme der Pfeifenköpfe zusammengesetzt ist und durch verschieden grosse Stützbüge) der Höhe nach eingestellt werden kann, wobei die Röhre der zu reinigenden Pfeife durch eine Gummiröhre mit der Glasröhre verbunden ist, so dass der kochende Alkohol während des Kochens in die Röhre und den Pfeifenkopf eindringen kann,
während das einfache Heben oder Senken des beweglichen Trägers die Glasröhre der Flamme nähert oder sie von derselben entfernt.

Hierauf zündet man die Lampe an und nachdem der kochende Alkohol zum grössten Teile in die Pfeife eingedrungen ist, entfernt man den Boden der Glasröhre von der Wärmequelle, indem man den Bügel 2 nach links oder nach rechts schwingt, um die Unreinigkoiten der Pfeife in die Glasröhre gelangen zu lassen. Diese Schwingbowegung kann dem Bügel 1 dadurch erteilt werden, dass man entweder die Pfeife allein (Fig. 2) oder mit dem Träger 6'hebt und senkt.
Um die Pfeife wohlschmeckend zu machen, kann man Kognak anstatt Alkohol verwenden.
Bei verstopften Pfeifen entfernt man die Glasröhre 4 von der Heizssamme, sobald der Alkohol zu kochen beginnt. Dies wird mehrere Male wiederholt. indem man jedesmal langsamer verfährt, bis der Alkohol ungehindert in die Pfeife eindringt.

Bei vorliegender Vorrichtung kann auch Wasser zum Reinigen der Pfeife verwendet werden, was mit den gewöhnlichen Glasrohrchen ohne Vorrichtung nicht möglich ist. Die beschriebene Vorrichtung bietet u. a. den wesentlichen Vorteil, dass das Reinigen der Pfeifen sozusagen selbsttätig geschieht, was für den allgemeinen Gebrauch derselben sehr günstig ist.
