Geschütz-Höhenrichtmaschine.
EMI1.1

Kegelrad g7 in Eingriff steht.

In diesem Falle müsste man also die oben erwähnten Nachteile in Kauf nehmen, deren

Gun leveling machine.
EMI1.1
Movement of the gun barrel two independent drive elements are provided. both of which are arranged on a carriage that does not participate in the raising movement of the gun barrel, and one of which is able to give the gun barrel a faster movement than the other for the purpose of transferring it from the firing position to the loading position and vice versa. In the known hog straightening machines of this type, a clutch is switched on in the drive mechanism, which is engaged when the one drive element is used and is disengaged again after the setting has been completed.
The use of such couplings, which can be engaged and disengaged, is not very recommendable for leveling machines for guns for various reasons. The present invention now aims to create a leveling machine of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the use of clutches that can be engaged and disengaged is avoided in the simplest possible way.
According to the invention, this purpose is achieved by designing the leveling machine in such a way that one drive element with one drive element, one with the other drive element and

The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 will first be described.
The slide way carrier A, which carries the gun barrel B, is mounted in the mount C so that it can be seen to swing by means of the horizontal locking pin a1 (FIG. 1).
The leveling machine consists of a toothed bend rigidly connected to the slide carrier l, a spur gear a3 engaged with the latter, and two drives for the spur gear a3. The first drive consists essentially of a handwheel and a

arranged (Fig. 2). At the other end of the shaft G a bevel gear g is attached, which is used to drive the sighting device.
The sighting device, which is known to me and therefore only needs to be explained briefly, consists essentially of a sighting telescope hl. a curved attachment rod H and the attachment sleeve a5 attached to the slide carrier A (FIG. 1). The rear side of the attachment rod H is provided with a toothing h2. into which a screw h4 arranged on the shaft Ha engages. The shaft H3 is in the manner shown in Fig. 1 on the attachment

Bevel gear g7 is engaged.
This bevel gear g7 is firmly connected to a shaft C, which is mounted on the housing cl in the manner shown in FIG. Since the shaft carrying the worm h4 is seated on the oscillating slide carrier A and the shaft G8 is seated on the stationary mount C, an articulated and at the same time longitudinally movable one is between the two shafts in a known manner
Clutch held, which consists of two universal joints J, J1 and two non-rotatable but displaceable in the direction of threr longitudinal axis connected shaft parts J2, J3.
The transmission ratio of the drive of the sighting device is such that the angle by which the attachment rod H is adjusted with respect to the gun barrel by turning the handwheel f1 is as great as the angle by which the gun barrel is rotated when the land wheel d ' is at rest. Furthermore, the arrangement is such that the attachment rod and gun barrel rotate in opposite directions. As a result, when the handwheel is turned, the visor limo remains constantly parallel to itself.
When using the device described, the handwheel dl is operated by the directional cannoner and the handwheel fl, which is able to give the gun barrel the faster rotation, is operated by the loading cannoner.
In order to set up the line of sight on the target, the gunner turns the handwheel dol. It should first be assumed that the handwheel fl remains at rest. A rotation of the screw h4 about its axis and therefore an adjustment of the attachment rod H with respect to the gun barrel cannot then occur.
The line of sight therefore takes part in the rotation given to the gun barrel by the handwheel dl, without changing the angle it forms with the axis of the soul, and thus maintains, while at the same time the gun, if

In this case, the worm gear el and therefore also the bevel gear e8, from which the shaft H5 receives its drive, remains at rest. In this case, only the gun barrel is adjusted. By means of the handwheel one can therefore use the reading mark c * on the housing c2 and the distance graduation g5, which is also used in the case of the present. Execution-

there is an inevitable connection with the other drive element, the glicde connected to the Gesehützrohre and a link directly adjoining the fixed link of the chain.
In the known leveling machines, however, in contrast to the Huhenricbtmaschine forming the subject of the invention, the translation ratio of the compulsory connection is established between the link of the chain that is connected to the gun barrel and the link of the chain connected to the other drive element, whether one or the other drive element is determined, always the same value.
As a result, it is impossible with the known leveling machines to give the gun barrel, as is the case with the subject matter of the invention, a faster movement by actuating one drive element than by actuating the other drive element under otherwise identical circumstances. This advantage could only ever be achieved in a cumbersome manner with the known Höhenrichtmaschmen, z. B. by the fact that between the one drive member and the link of the kinematic chain that is inevitably connected with it, a special back gear or the like that brings about a translation into high speed is switched on. In this case one would have to accept the disadvantages mentioned above, their
