Process for fixing the dianthraquinonylamine obtainable by condensation of 1-aminoanthraquinone with 2-chloroanthraquinone on the vegetable fiber.

In the German patent specification No. 184905 it was shown that anthraquinonylamines, which contain 3 anthraquinone nuclei, are able to stain cotton in the vat. Vat-coloring properties of dianthraquinonylamines have not yet become known; a large number of them, e.g. B. the a-a-dianthraquinonylamine rather have absolutely no vat-coloring properties.

The surprising observation has now been made that the dianthraquinonylamine obtainable according to German patent specification No. 174699, in contrast to other dianthraquinonimides, can be used in an excellent way as a vat dye.

solution, then adds the dye solution through a sieve and a solution of 40 to 60 kg of Glauber's salt is added. Now stir well and let stand for a few minutes. 100 kg of well-moistened cotton are then introduced and treated 3 /. 1 to 1 hour in the cold dye bath. After dyeing, the cotton is removed, unwound, washed and acidified, washed and soaped in water containing sulfuric acid (1 to 2 cm sulfuric acid HG B per liter). You get so very true orange tones of great clarity, as they have not been achieved with any direct dye.

Printing is done in the same way.
