Safety jug with two coupled valves that move one after the other.
The subject of the invention is a safety jug with two coupled valves which move one after the other. The novelty consists mainly in the fact that a two-part valve rod is arranged in the upper part of the jug, the parts of which, each under spring action, are connected to one another by a slot guide.
An example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing.
In the lid of the jug a filling member a is arranged, which is independent of all other devices of the jug. The liquid outlet b is closed by the valve c firmly connected to the stem part f and under the action of the spring h. The valve d, which is firmly connected to the rod part 9 and is under the action of the spring i, closes an opening which is provided for the extraction of vapors forming in the jug. The two rod parts f and g are connected to one another in such a way that the end s of the rod 9 engages the end of the rod t which is formed as a backdrop and is arranged there so that it can be displaced such that the rod part 9 can only make a small shift to the right without taking the rod part f.
The rod part 9 can be moved from the outside by means of the angle lever e.
If such a jug falls over, all closures remain secured. If gas develops in it in a dangerous manner, the overpressure created in the jug opens valve d so that the gas can escape without valve c being opened. If the rod is pulled to the right by pressing the angle lever e, initially only the rod part 9 with the valve d moves, so that the gas formed in the jug can escape. Only when the rod part g is pulled further, the rod part f with the valve c is also pulled to the right and the discharge opening for the liquid is free. As soon as the angle lever e is released again, the valves c and d close immediately due to the springs h and i.
