Verfahren zur beschleunigten Fabrikation von Natriumbikarbonat.
Den Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Bikarbonat, vermittels Durchleiten eines Stromes von gasförmiger Kohlensäure durch eine hinreichend konzentrierte LÖsung von Natriumkarbonat. Der Zweck des Verfahrens ist es, diese Reaktion, die, wie bekannt, ziemli h langsam vor sich geht, zu beschleunigen. Die Langsamkeit der Reaktion ist an sich durch die Tatsache bedingt, dass bei der Verwandlung des Monokarbonates in das Bikarbonat nur 0, 85 Kalorien frei werden. In der praktischen Ausführung wird die Reaktion noch weiter verlangsamt, wenn man verdünnte Kohlensäuregase, wie beispielsweise Kalkofen- gase verwendet.
Das neue Verfahren beruht nun auf der Verwendung eines chemischen Agens, welches als Übertragungssubstanz derartig wirkt. dass es die Kohlensäure zunächst absorbiert, dabei ein merklich leichter lösliches Salz als das Natriumbikarbonat bildet und im Verlauf des Verfahrens seine Kohlensäure durch sekundäre Umsetzung an das Monokarbonat abgibt und so wieder für neue Kohlensäureaufnahme frei wird.

The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of bicarbonate by passing a stream of gaseous carbonic acid through a sufficiently concentrated solution of sodium carbonate.
