<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a current conductor of a NH fuse device or NH fuse load switch device with two parallel sections, one section of which can be connected to a busbar and the other section to a contact of a pole, and with a right angle to this extending and connecting middle part, wherein the sections and the middle part are arranged approximately Z-shaped, and wherein the current conductor can be connected to a current transformer and a housing with such a current conductor.
If commercially available NH fuse devices or NH fuse switch devices are to be equipped with current transformers, the problem arises that they have to be arranged in the current path from the contact heads of the poles to the busbars, with commercially available current transformers having a primary core who has to enclose this current path.
From EP A 455 589 a pedestal for an NH fuse device or NH fuse switch device provided with a current transformer is known, which has a current conductor of the generic type. The middle part of the current conductor is shortened to such an extent that sufficient space is created for the current transformer within the housing between the lower section of the current conductor assigned to the busbar and the busbar. The lower section of the current conductor is screwed to the busbar in such a way that the screw is guided through the toroidal core of the current transformer and thus forms the primary winding.
The problem with this arrangement is that currents of up to 1000 amperes flow through the current conductor in NH fuse devices or NH fuse switch disconnectors, and that the screw forms a weak point in the current path in this connection, since screws are made from a good electrical conductor - Materials, such as aluminum or copper and their alloys, can withstand these high currents, but hardly have sufficient mechanical strength for screwing the conductor to the busbar. On the other hand, steel screws would have the required mechanical strength, but not the required current strength.
The invention is therefore based on the object of further developing a current conductor of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the current transformer can be accommodated in the housing without problems, but on the other hand the required mechanical strength and current resistance are ensured.
This task is solved with an electrical conductor with the characteristics

len of claim 1.
In the invention, the current conductor is designed so that the middle part takes over the function of the primary conductor in the current transformer. The problem that arises that the current transformer has to be arranged around this middle part, but at the same time the standardized mass of the upper and lower section of the current conductors should not be changed if possible, is carried out at least in two parts, with one section, preferably the section assigned to the busbar is releasably connected to the central part.
Basically, it is conceivable to permanently connect the section to the central part, e.g. B. to solder and replace the current conductor together with a defect in the current transformer. However, it is preferred if the section is detachably connected to the central part, e.g. is screwed, since only the current transformer then has to be replaced in the event of a defect, which is a somewhat more cost-effective variant.
From an electrical point of view, executing the central part cylindrically represents the best embodiment, it being preferred if the central part is a solid cylinder. Deviations from the cylinder shape or
Solid cylinder shapes are possible, however, without leaving the scope of the present invention, provided that this appears to be expedient in individual cases for design reasons.
The invention furthermore relates to a housing having the features of claim 8.
The middle part has a length that corresponds approximately to the height H of the housing or the recess in the housing in which the current conductor is received with the current transformer.
In an alternative embodiment, in which a section of the current conductor has a leg that is angled toward the middle part, the sum of the lengths of the angled leg and the middle part has an amount that corresponds approximately to the height H of the housing or the recess in the housing . This makes it possible to integrate the current transformer into the housing without having to change the standardized height H of the housing.
Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of an embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings. 1 shows a section of a housing of an NH fuse device or NH fuse switch disconnector in an oblique view, FIG. 2 shows a section through the housing in the region of a current conductor, FIG. 3 shows a section connected to a busbar
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
4, a representation corresponding to FIG. 3, but without a current transformer, FIG. 5 a side view (elevation) of a current conductor with a current transformer, and FIG. 6 a side view (cross-sectional view) of the current conductor Current transformer of Fig. 5.
1 shows a part of a housing 1 in an oblique view, in which a side wall has broken out in the area of a current conductor 2 or a busbar 3. The current conductor 2, which is arranged in a recess 4 in the housing 1, has, as can best be seen in FIGS. 3 to 6, an approximately Z-shaped shape and in particular consists of an upper section 5, a parallel for this purpose arranged lower section 6 and a middle part 7, which connects the upper section 5 and the lower section 6 to one another.
The middle part 7 is a solid cylinder, which has two threaded bores 8 on its end side facing the lower section 6, to which two countersunk holes 9 are assigned in the lower section 6. The lower section 6 can thus be screwed to the central part 7 by means of two screws 10 so that a press connection, which is also suitable for high currents, is created between the central part 7 and the lower section 6.
The upper section 5 has a leg 11 which is angled toward the middle part 7 and whose end 12 is received in a slot 13 in the middle part 7. For the firm connection of the leg 11 to the middle part 7, these are soldered together at the edges 13.
The housing 1, as can be seen in FIG. 2, has a height H and the middle part 7 and the leg 11, which represents an extension of the middle part 7, together have a length which is approximately the height H of the housing and in particular corresponds to the recess 4.
Of course, it is also conceivable that the middle part 7 itself has a length corresponding to the height H and is directly connected to the upper section 5.
Sections 5 and 6 have a cross-sectional shape as is customary for current conductors of NH fuse devices or NH fuse switch devices. Due to the limited space in the recess 4 in the housing 1, however, the smallest possible current transformers 14 must be used, as shown in FIGS. 1, 3, 5 and 6. The bore diameter of the toroidal core of the current transformer 14 will therefore usually be smaller than the width of the current conductor 2, so that the central part 7 must also have a correspondingly smaller diameter than the width of the current conductor.
So that at a height of the middle part 7 that corresponds to the height of the current transformer 14
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
speaks that the end 12 of the leg 11 inserted into the middle part 7 does not constitute a hindrance, the width of this end 12 must therefore not be greater than the diameter of the middle part 7. In order to avoid this problem, the height of the middle part 7 can of course also be greater by the amount than the height of the current transformer 14 by which the end 12 is inserted into the middle part 7.
As can be seen in the figures, the lower section 6 is further connected to the busbar 3 via a screw 15, this connection being able to be carried out as is customary in the prior art.
Also in accordance with the prior art, the upper section 5 of the current conductor 2 is connected to a contact head 16, which is a contact knife z. B. records a fuse. The other contact knife of the fuse is received in a contact head 17, which, however, can be seen in FIG. 1 without the associated current conductor.
