Die Wirkungsweise der oben beschriebenen Einrichtung ist folgende :
In der gezeichneten Lage legt sich der Ring   d   gegen die Unterlegscheibe i und die Achse b wird von ihrem unteren Drehzapfen abgehalten ; der   Elektrizitätsmesser ist   jetzt in transportfähigem Zustand. 



   Um den Messer wieder in betriebsfähigen Zustand zu versetzen wird der Schraube q eine halbe Umdrehung erteilt. Hierdurch wird der Stift p nach unten bewegt. Diese Bewegung machen

1. Motor-Elektrizitätszähler, bei welchem die   Qupcksilberkammer   geschlossen ist und die Ankerachse von ihrem unteren Drehzapfen mit Hilfe eines Armes abgehoben werden kann, welcher einen starren Ring trägt, der die Spindel umgibt und geeignet ist, gegen eine weiche Scheibe an der Spindel gedrückt zu werden, um dieselbe von ihrem unteren Drehzapfen abzuheben, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ring mit dem Oberteil der Quecksilberkammer durch einen Schlauch   \ pr1undt'Il   ist, wobei der Ring derart bewegt werden kann, um die Spindel zu lüften und die   Kammer zu schliessen,   dass keine Luft in die Quecksilberkammer eintreten kann.
