Abstract

A net-like support system for mounting recording devices (e.g. cameras) at sport events is provided, at least one of which serves for recording or transmitting a bird's- eye view, a synchronous circuit of the individual shots being arranged, and a number of individual pictures subsequently being reproduced as an overall shot thereby. For an outdoor pitch (e.g. football pitch) or a racetrack, a net-like support system is erected, so that a large number of bird's-eye view recording devices can be arranged. The invention relates to a network-like carrier system for mounting recording devices (for example cameras) at sporting events, at least one of which is used for recording or transmission from a bird's eye view, wherein a synchronous switching of the individual recordings is also provided, which subsequently reproduce several individual images as a total recording .

The prior art can be found in the following patents: US 5 363 297 A describes a computer system in which at least one overhead camera is provided and is intended to regulate overlaps which can occur with 1 or more camera images, but this patent is for indoor use (Sports hall) designed and not for outdoor use. US 5 444 478 describes a surveillance camera system FR 2 730 837 describes a satellite-controlled system for recording a playing field.

The object of the invention is to enable the use of overhead cameras in outdoor sports facilities.

This is achieved according to the invention in that a net-like carrier system is provided over an open-air (outdoor) playing field (e.g. soccer field) or a racetrack, so that a large number of recording devices can be arranged from a bird's eye view.
