Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Fig. 2 die Stirnansicht der Kupplungsvorrichtung gemäss Fig. 1,

The invention relates to a coupling device for connecting conveying members to round steel chains, in which the conveying members each have both longitudinal legs of connecting chain links, cantilevers and arranged thereon, which can be pivoted into the clear interior of the respective connecting chain link, essentially L-shaped projections, the latter in the pivoted-in state together with the free end of the brackets each form a first receptacle which surrounds one of the two longitudinal limbs of the respective connecting chain link in a fork-like manner and together with an end face of a web-shaped section of the conveying element opposite each other form a second receptacle for the other of the two longitudinal limbs of the respective connecting chain link,

wherein securing elements serve to secure the connection between the connecting chain links and the round steel chain, by means of which the other longitudinal leg can be locked in the second receptacle.

From DE 89 03 377 U1 a coupling device of the type described is known, in which the longitudinal leg of the chain link located in the receptacle of the connecting element is secured against slipping out of the receptacle with the aid of dowel pins or clamping sleeves.

This type of securing proves to be sufficient for a large number of applications, but leaves something to be desired in particular when large forces have to be transmitted between the chain and the respective conveyor.

The invention has for its object to improve a relevant coupling device in such a way that a secure cohesion between chain and conveyor element is ensured even under unfavorable conditions, such as those prevailing in mining.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a coupling device of the type under consideration in that the securing element is designed as an essentially U-shaped bracket, the yoke of which is supported against a nose-shaped pre-jump of the web-shaped section of the conveying member, a lock for the second receptacle introduced longitudinal legs of the respective connecting chain link and the legs connected to each other via the yoke are connected by a dowel pin or an adapter sleeve to the web-shaped section of the conveyor element which they comprise.

The coupling device according to the invention has the advantage that the securing element used in it also withstands extremely high forces. It is particularly suitable for use with scraper conveyors for hard, lumpy bulk goods such as limestone, sandstone, building rubble and the like.

Further details and features of the invention emerge from the subclaims and the following description of a particularly advantageous embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing. Show it:
1 is a side view of a coupling device for connecting a round steel chain with conveyor elements formed by scratches,
2 shows the end view of the coupling device according to FIG. 1,
Fig. 3 partially in section, a partial top view of the coupling device acc. Fig 1,
4 shows the top view of the securing element of the coupling device according to FIGS. 1 to 3 and
5 shows a section along the line V-V in Fig. 4th

In Fig. 1 are 1 web-shaped sections formed by the ends of a conveyor member 2. In the case shown, the conveyor element 2 consists of a scraper iron of a scraper conveyor that has a rectangular cross section. The ends of the conveying member 2 have brackets 3 with essentially L-shaped projections 4. As indicated in the left-hand side of FIG. 1, the brackets 3 overlap the longitudinal legs 5 and 6 of a connecting chain link 7.

The L-shaped projection pivoted into the clear interior of the connecting chain link forms, together with the free end of the extension arm 3, a first receptacle 8 for the longitudinal leg 5 of the connecting chain link 7 second receptacle 9 for the longitudinal leg 6 of the connecting chain link 7.

A securing element 10, which has a yoke and two legs 12 and 13 connected to one another via this, serves to secure the connecting chain link 7 in the position shown. The legs 12 and 13 of the securing element 10 encompass the web-shaped section 1 of the conveying element 2. The legs are provided with bores 14 for receiving clamping sleeves 15 which fit into corresponding bores 16 of section 1.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

The yoke 11 is supported by a flat support surface 17 on a likewise flat inclined surface 18, which is formed by a nose-shaped projection 19 of the web-shaped section.
