Abstract
Description
AT 406 075 BAT 406 075 B
The invention relates to glazing with at least one glass element that can be clamped on the edge using seals between a support leg of a support profile and a clamping strip that can be clamped with respect to the support profile, wherein cover shells that can be plugged on on the outside of the glazing cover the edge region of the glass element, which cover shells by means of hook-shaped edge reinforcements forming fastening legs can be positively locked with fastening parts of the support profiles or terminal strips.
Such glazing, as are known from EP 0 704 596 A, EP 0 686 735 A and DE 37 15 055 A, can be found in glass facades, glass walls or doors and windows in the outer wall area, the support profiles, which mostly consist of aluminum, being either static Post and transom profiles belong to the facade or wall structure or form the frame or frame parts of the door or window frame or sash. Due to more recent building codes, constructions and glazing with fire protection qualifications are now increasingly being stipulated for exterior wall areas, for which not only the glass elements required for glazing have to be made of fire protection insulating glass, but also the glass-bearing construction and the glass holder have to be designed for fire protection in order to protect the flames - and limit heat penetration and maintain the static strength of the components to a certain minimum. So far, the support profiles have been redesigned accordingly, equipped with thermal inserts and protective cladding and also equipped with reinforcements, which is complex, involves laborious production processes, impairs the external appearance and creates difficulties with regard to the physical properties of the building, the tightness against wind and driving rain, and the drainage options leads. Added to this is the fact that the existing cover shells, which serve as a visible cover for the terminal strips or glazing joints, have contact surfaces between the cover shell and the terminal strip over their entire length of the cover shell, which is why the cover shell must be made correspondingly thin and elastic and thus in no way increase the fire protection properties of the glazing can.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing glazing of the type described at the outset which, in a surprisingly simple manner, brings about a substantial improvement in the fire protection conditions and opens up a rational possibility of achieving the required fire protection qualifications.
2The invention solves this problem in that individual resilient fastening clips are provided as the support profile or terminal strip-side fastening parts and the metal cover shells with their fastening legs can be plugged onto the fastening clips which are transverse to these. This results in a simple cover shell holder and only individual contact points between the cover shell and the supporting structure, which are predetermined by the fastening clips, the fastening clips being able to be fixed at suitable points on the support profile or the terminal strip, and the cover shell being locked onto the fastening clips by simply pressing on the fastening legs. Since the fastening clips are spring-loaded, the cover shells can be made more solid than before and thus improve the fire protection properties of the glazing. The form-fitting mounting of the cover shells prevents them from falling off prematurely even in the fire skins and can cover the area covering them from direct heat or heat over sufficiently long periods of time. Protect flame access. If the glazing is a glass facade or a glass wall in which the support profiles belong to the structure and the cover plates cover the intermediate joints of the glass elements and the clamping strips that clamp the two adjacent glass elements here, the cover plates also offer protection for the joint area due to their covering all building and construction parts available in this joint area, such as supporting profile parts, terminal strips, seals, thermal separators between terminal strip support and actual supporting profiles and the like. Like., Which of course also secures the holder of the glass elements themselves. If the fastening clips with freely protruding ends reach behind the hook-shaped edge reinforcements of the fastening legs, direct contact between the cover shell and the terminal strip or the support profile can be prevented at all, which further impairs the possible heat transfer If the cover shell for covering a frame leg for door or window frames or . -wing provided, the glass holders, the seals, the aluminum parts of the frame profile u. Protect against premature exposure to heat and flame. 2nd
AT 406 075 BAT 406 075 B
A further increase in safety can be achieved in that the oeck shells form side legs arranged upstream of the fastening legs in a manner known per se, since the side legs must first melt under the action of heat before the fastening legs and thus the form-fitting mounting of the cover shells are endangered.
If the cover shells have outer walls with hollow chambers that can hold thermal insulation material, the stability of the cover shells against heat or fire-related damage is correspondingly increased and the achievable fire protection property is improved.
These longitudinal slots interrupt the direct heat flow within the corresponding components and thus lengthen the heat conduction path, which has a favorable effect on the total thermal insulation that can be achieved. The longitudinal slots in the sections parallel to the glazing plane are easily accessible for tools and can therefore also be produced efficiently by sawing. The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example, and shows

Glazing 1 with fire protection qualifications comprises glass elements 2 made of fire-resistant insulating glass and a supporting structure illustrated by a supporting profile 3 made of aluminum, the glass elements 2 being clamped on the edges using seals 4, 5 between supporting legs 6 of the supporting profile 3 and a clamping strip 7 which can be clamped relative to the supporting profile 3 . The terminal strip 7 is screwed to the support profile 3 by means of fastening screws 3 with the interposition of a composite support 9 for thermal separation. On the outside, a metal cover shell 10 is placed on the terminal block 7, which engages in groove parts 12 of the terminal block 7 via internal web parts 11, thermal insulation 13 being provided between the web and groove parts 11, 12. In addition, the cover shell 10 is positively locked via resilient fastening parts, which fastening parts on the cover shell side consist of longitudinally extending fastening legs 14 with hook-shaped edge reinforcements 15 and on the clamping strip side of individual transverse fastening clips 16. The fastening clips 16 are also screwed to the terminal block 7 via the fastening screws 8 and can form ends 17 which project freely on both sides or only on one side and which engage behind the edge reinforcements 15.
In the event of a fire, the cover shell 10 provides a secure covering of the joint area between the two glass elements 2 and therefore protects the seals and components present in this joint area and thus also the glass holder itself Web and groove parts 11, 12 are non-positively fastened to the terminal strip 7, but also positively latched by the fastening legs 14 and fastening clips 16, which results in waste prevention.
In order to improve the protective effect of the cover shell 10 and the fire protection qualification, longitudinal slots 21, 22 are sawn in the terminal strip 7 and in the support profile 3, especially in the sections 18, 19, 20 parallel to the glazing plane, which lengthen the heat conduction path and thus the Increase thermal resistance.
As indicated in FIG. 2, the cover 10 can have an outer wall 23 with a hollow chamber 24, in which hollow chamber 24, if necessary, thermal insulation material 25 is introduced, in order to improve its own fire protection qualification and thus to increase the protection that can be achieved, and it can also have the fastening legs 14 arranged upstream Form side legs 26, which on the one hand increases the thermal insulation of the cover shell and on the other hand the fastening legs themselves are secured against premature melting.
3The measure according to the invention, in order to prevent the cover shell from falling off prematurely in the event of a fire by means of its form-fitting holder, significantly improves the fire protection qualification of the entire external glazing in a surprisingly simple manner, so that the desired fire safety can be ensured with low-cost additional measures. 3rd
