Abstract

Insulated pipelines which are intended to be laid underground consist of an inner pipe 1 which carries the flowing medium, an outer pipe 2 and insulation between these two pipes 1, 2. To produce a butt joint between the pipelines, the mutually abutting inner pipes 1 are welded, and the outer pipes 2, which are set back from the abutment plane 3, have a tubular moulding 4 added to them. In order to provide a simple butt joint which can be produced with little labour involved, the moulding consists of two bellows 4 which are each mounted on one of the mutually facing ends of the outer pipes 2 and can intrinsically be compressed in order to clear the inner pipe weld point and which, once the inner pipes have been welded, are pulled apart from one another and are welded to one another. <IMAGE>

AT 392 148 B The invention relates to a butt joint for insulated conduit pipes intended for burial, consisting of an inner pipe carrying the flowing medium, an outer pipe and an insulation, preferably foam insulation, between these pipes, the abutting inner pipes being welded and from the butting plane the inner tubes recessed outer tubes are supplemented by a tubular molding. In order to be able to weld the abutting inner pipes, the insulation and the outer pipe on each side of the joint must be set back at a distance of at least 150 mm, otherwise the welding manipulations for the sleeve pipes cannot be carried out. After the inner pipe welding, it is then of course necessary to fill up the space in the area of the joint, in which there is initially neither insulation nor an outer pipe, so that there is a tight transition from outer pipe to outer pipe with appropriate insulation. In a known butt joint (DE-OS 3 149 371) a sleeve pipe is provided for connecting the two outer pipes, which has at least one ring corrugation near each of its ends, with which it is inserted into a ring corrugation of the subsequent, also ring-corrugated outer pipe. The disadvantage here is that the socket pipe for producing the inner pipe weld must be pushed onto one of the outer pipes and pushed back again after the welding, special measures for the tight connection between the socket pipe and the outer pipes being necessary and the socket pipes being separate parts which make storage difficult. Although it is also known to use a plastic corrugated hose as a molded part in the subsequent insulation of a branch point of a district heating line (DE-OS 3 735 228), this must also first be pushed over the branch pipe and pushed back over the branch point after the pipe connection has been made , although there are completely different requirements. The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these deficiencies and of creating a butt joint of the type described at the outset, which can be produced simply and with little work. The invention solves this problem in that the molded part consists of two bellows which are fastened to one of the mutually facing ends of the outer tubes and which can be pushed together to release the inner tube welding point and which are pulled apart and welded together after the inner tube welding. The bellows can be attached from the outset to the outer tube ends by the known so-called mirror welding. When the inner tube is welded together, each bellows is pushed together towards the outer tube end, so that the inner tube ends are exposed for carrying out the welding work. Once the inner pipe connection has been made, the bellows are brought together from both sides and welded using a so-called perforated mirror, after which filling the free space with insulating material presents no difficulties. In any case, the bellows not only give the opportunity to expose or cover the inner tube ends, but also to carry out a corresponding pressing movement in the axial direction for butt welding. In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, and purely schematically, namely that FIG. 1 shows a butt joint before the merger of the two bellows arranged at each end of a cladding tube in longitudinal section and FIG. 2 die fertige Stoßverbindung in gleicher Darstellungsweise. Hiezu 1 Blatt Zeichnung -2-2 the finished butt joint in the same representation. The pipeline consists of an inner pipe (1) guiding the flowing medium, an outer pipe (2) and an insulation (not shown) between these two pipes. In the joint area, the outer tubes (2) are set back from the butt plane (3) of the inner tubes (1) in order to be able to weld the inner tubes (1). The outer tubes (2) each have a tubular bellows (4) which is pushed apart after the inner tube connection has been made and, as shown in FIG. 2, butt-welded to the adjacent bellows (4) at (5). PATENT CLAIM Butt connection for insulated conduit pipes intended for burial, consisting of an inner pipe carrying the flowing medium, an outer pipe and an insulation, preferably foam insulation, between these pipes, the butting inner pipes being welded and the outer pipes set back from the joint plane of the inner pipes by a tubular molded part are supplemented, characterized in that the molded part consists of two bellows (4) which are fastened to one of the mutually facing ends of the outer tubes (2) and which can be pushed together to release the inner tube welding point and which are pulled apart and welded together after the inner tube welding.
