Abstract
Description
Nr. 390 466No. 390 466
The invention relates to a component for erecting walls with a composite body made of glued wooden parts.
Self-supporting wooden walls are generally constructed from superimposed wooden beams, the length of which determines the wall length. However, this dependency between the length of the beam and the length of the wall is not the only disadvantage of such wooden walls, because the individual wooden beams, particularly when softwoods are used, are comparatively susceptible to changes in moisture, which leads to high swelling and shrinkage. There is also a risk of cracking and twisting of the beams.
To avoid these disadvantages, components made of wood have already become known (AT-PS 328150), which consist of two boards held by webs at a predetermined distance, the webs being offset inwards with respect to the peripheral edge of the boards, so that for connecting two similar components a spring engaging between the boards can be used. A disadvantage of these known components, however, is that in order to erect walls, uprights must be provided at a distance of the component length provided between which the individual components are inserted with the connection springs interposed. However, this also limits the design options for the walls to be erected. In addition, the strength of the walls depends crucially on the frame formed by the uprights in which the components are used. In addition, the boards that form the outside of the components are also susceptible to moisture and tend to warp.
The invention is therefore based on the object to avoid these deficiencies and to provide a component of the type described, which is not only largely independent of changes in moisture, but also allows the construction of self-supporting walls without having to provide a supporting frame for receiving the components .
The invention solves the problem in that the brick-shaped composite body on its mutually opposite circumferential sides has mutually opposite connection profiles for similar components and consists of adjacent, glued together lamellae, which consist of the length of the composite body »stretching, edged rows are composed and that the strips of abutting slats run offset from one another in height.
Since the composite body formed from glued lamellae has a brick shape and forms mutually identical connection profiles for similar components on its pair of opposite circumferential sides, such a component can also be installed in droves with similar components in the manner of bricks, whereby due to the mutually identical connection profiles on the other A pair of opposing circumferential sides of the connecting profiles results in both the height and the side of adjacent components, which ensures a good connection between the individual components. The massive composite body made of vertical lamellae arranged side by side enables high loads, whereby due to the structure of the lamellae in connection with the composition of the lamellae of strips that are stacked on top of one another and that are offset in height from the strips of the neighboring lamellae, the influence of moisture on the dimensional accuracy of the entire component is largely can be suppressed. Because of the brick-like laying of such components, the size and design of the walls to be erected do not largely depend on the component size and can largely be chosen freely.
As a further advantage of a component according to the invention, it can be stated that it is essentially composed of individual strips which can be easily cut from the side wood of softwood trunks, so that there is no need to provide selected, error-free, dried beams and otherwise inferior, Sufficiently available side wood can be processed into high-quality components.
In order to avoid errors due to branches or the like in the area of the slats, the strips of the slats can, in a further embodiment of the invention, consist of error-free sections joined by means of finger jointing. The transverse strips containing the branches or the like are cut out for the production of the strips and the remaining sections are glued together with the aid of finger jointing, which ensures an additional form fit of the joined strip sections and represents a connection which hardly impairs the visual impression.
So that the individual components laid in staggered groups can be connected in a simple manner to form a particularly stable wall, the composite body of the components can have two vertical through holes for a connecting bolt at an edge distance corresponding to a quarter of its length, with the aid of which the components of a group can be connected the components of the adjacent coulters offset by half the component length, because with such a displacement by half the component length, the through-bores of the individual components add up to holes that extend through the wall height. These through holes can also be installed in the wall cables u. Like. Record, with the use of tubular connecting bolts, the cable routing is not hindered by connecting bolts, which of course do not necessarily have to go through the full wall height.
