Sämtliche Vierzylinder sind an einem Gestell verschraubt, das aus oberen   Längsträgern,   untern Querträgern Y und Verbindungssäulen S besteht. Ein solches Gestell kann leicht aus   Vierkant- und Rundeisen   hergestellt werden. Das Anschrauben der Vierzylinder an die Längsträger X erfolgt von unten her mittels Schrauben N (Fig. 3). 



   Die unteren Querträger Y nehmen die achtkröpfigen, von oben her in das Gestell einbaubaren   Kurbelwellen W   auf. D'ese laufen entweder, wie dargestellt, alle in gleichem Sinne um, oder aber abwechselnd im entgegengesetzten Sinne, je nachdem sich des aus dem Antrieb des Vorgeleges oder den auftretenden Massenwirkungen o. dgl. als notwendig ergibt. 



   Der gleichen Kolbenstellung des Vierzylinder wegen ist es erforderlich, dass alle Kurbelwellen gleiche Umlaufgeschwindigkeit haben. Zu diesem Zwecke sind die Kurbelwellen durch Zahnräder u. dgl. gekuppelt. Ihre Kraft geben sie entweder direkt oder, wie aus Fig. 1 und 3 ersichtlich, durch ein Vorgelege ab.
