Description

The invention relates to a window or door frame or frame, the spars have two interconnected by a foam plastic profile body and spaced apart from one another, preferably made of aluminum, the spars are mitred by metal corner brackets and the corner brackets in some areas on the profile rails and lie in areas against the foam plastic.

The object of the invention is to achieve precise alignment of the profile bodies forming the spars using simple constructional means.

This is achieved according to the invention in that each leg of the corner bracket has at least one notch for receiving a pin guided through the foam plastic profile body and the respective profile rail.

The pin is inserted on the open side of the profile rail, so that the corner angle leg is pressed against the leg of the profile rail by the pin, which automatically ensures exact alignment. It also surrounds the corner bracket leg on all sides with metal, creating a true form-fitting metal corner connection. Since this connection is rigid and firm from the outset, time and labor-intensive squeezing is unnecessary to prevent the foam from giving in after the steel pins have been pressed in.

The invention is described in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings. 1 shows a cross section through a window frame and frame designed according to the invention; 2 shows a perspective view of a corner connection according to the invention; 3 shows a cross section through a spar according to the invention and FIG. 4 shows a cross section through a spar in the area of the corner connection.

A window frame --1-- and an associated window frame - 2 - each have a profile body --3-- made of foamed plastic and the two rails which run parallel to one another and which are arranged in this, and which run parallel to one another --4 and 5--. The profile body --3-- made of PUR- - foam has a rubber seal --6-- on the contact surface to the window frame --2-- and an acrylic shell --7-- on the outside.

The two profile rails --4 and 5--, which are roughly U-shaped in cross-section and are arranged symmetrically with respect to a plane parallel to the plane of the frame, each have two -

Longitudinal median plane runs at right angles to that of the profile rail --4 or 5--. Both the free ends of this channel --12-- and those of the outer legs --8-- are bent outwards, which means that better fixation in the profile body --3-- can be achieved. The U-shaped channel - the inner profile rail --5-- serves as a plug connection for attaching a glazing bead --14--. The channel --12-- of the outer profile rail --4-- serves in conjunction with bores --15-- running through the profile body --15-- as sash rebate ventilation.

Both profile rails --4 and 5-- are connected to each other by a plastic strip --16-- made of polypropylene or impact-resistant PVC running perpendicular to the frame plane. This

formed groove can be inserted, whereby a firm, precisely defined connection of both rails - -4, 5-- is present. The formation of the two profile rails --4, 5-- in the window frame --3-- is identical to that in the window frame, with the exception of the complete encapsulation of the two channels --12--.

In Fig. 2 the two miter-shaped spars of the window frame --2-- can be seen in a separated state. Holes --20, 21-- are provided in the two profile rails --4, 5-- of each spar, which are slightly longer than the length of the two legs --22-- of the two corner brackets --23, 24--. Each corner bracket --23, 24--, which is forged from steel and made of round bars, has on its legs each

a notch --25-- for receiving a pin --26-- passed through the profile body and the profile rail.

As can be seen in particular in Fig. 4, the three legs of each profile rail - 4 or 5 - are tangential to the corner angles - 23, 24 -, with the pins opposite the bottom leg --26-- being in constant contact To ensure precise alignment of the corner brackets in the longitudinal direction of the bars and thus ensure a flush connection. Adhesive can also be introduced into the holes - 20, 21 - for connection to the foamed profile body.
