<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a control device for heating and domestic water preparation systems, in particular single-family houses, with an electronic computer.
Heating and domestic water preparation systems for single-family houses or similar residential units have so far mostly been controlled via thermostats and time switches according to a fixed scheme, which only allows semi-automatic control with a comparatively rough adjustment option to changing conditions and conditions. Especially in the case of combined systems which, in addition to boilers for oil and solid fuels, also have a heat pump and a buffer store, the coordination and control remains unsatisfactory despite the construction costs of such systems. In addition, these systems can only be monitored from the boiler room and require considerable expertise to operate them.
There are already a wide variety of electronic computers for controlling heating and domestic water preparation systems, which are assigned to individual parts of the system and only capture partial areas of the system, so that no optimizing and controlling control can be achieved even with the known computers. Monitoring is also back to the
The location of the computer, i.e. the boiler room, and in the same way, malfunctions can only be detected in the boiler room itself, which means that frequent and careful inspections are necessary in order to be able to detect and eliminate any damage that has occurred before the heating of the living room or the hot water is unpleasant.
The invention is therefore based on the object to eliminate these shortcomings and a
To create a control device of the type described at the outset, which, with simple and convenient operation, brings about an optimal interaction of all units and devices in the system, allows operation to be adapted to changing conditions in order to achieve the greatest possible energy saving, depending on the given conditions, the use of various energy arten enables comprehensive monitoring and operation from the living area, even with complex systems.
The invention solves this problem in that the computer, in a manner known per se, includes the units belonging to this system, such as burners, heat pumps, boiler charging pumps, buffer storage charging pumps, domestic water circulation pumps, changeover valves, zone valves, heating pumps, mixers and the like. Like., depending on the comparison of measured values entered analogously, such as outside temperature, room temperature, boiler temperature, flow temperatures, boiler temperature, buffer tank temperature and the like. Like. With stored data, such as limit temperatures for the boiler, boiler, heat pump operation and underfloor heating, temperature difference between the buffer tank temperature and the required maximum flow temperature, controller characteristics, type of heat pump and the like. the like
and with setting parameters such as boiler temperature, room temperature, heating curves and base points, reductions, time entries for reductions, boiler loading, zone valve actuation, hot water circulation etc. according to energy and / or operating mode, such as solid fuels, oil, heat pumps, monovalent, bivalent (alternative or parallel ) Operation and summer or winter operation u. Aligned oriented programs and malfunctions of the aggregates or
Defects in condition such as malfunctions of the burner, the burner safety chain, the heat pump, the boiler for solid fuels or how too low temperatures for heat pump operation, too little feed water (water / water heat pump) and the like. The like. Indicates as fault messages, the computer consisting of the actual computer part and its own on the one hand on the computer part itself, on the other hand on an operating part which can be connected to the computer part by a line connector.
With the help of such a computer, all devices and equipment that are necessary for heating and hot water preparation in a family home or other residential unit can be controlled centrally via this computer, which can then be programmed based on the programming, the measured values, the desired ratios and the schedule etc. ensures the optimization of the system and ensures economical operation through the precise coordination of the individual units. A fault in the system is immediately registered and also shown, so that a fault can be noticed in good time and can be located without having to search for a long time.
Such a computer is of particular value, particularly in systems which have boilers for oil and gas and solid fuels or are combined with a heat pump and a buffer store, because of this
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Simply call up the respective program and the system is immediately matched to the various types of energy, to single or combination operation, etc. and controlled accordingly, and the interaction of the units and equipment can be optimally adapted to a wide variety of conditions at any time.
To program the computer or to adjust it to the existing system and the given conditions, the control unit is on the computer part, which is conveniently located in the
Boiler room is located, and is therefore for this basic, mostly only made by the heating specialist in the field of view of the units, safety devices and. If the computer is then matched to the existing system and programmed accordingly, the control unit can be removed and plugged into the connector, which is installed at a suitable location outside the boiler room, so that the usual control and adjustment measures during the
Operation can be carried out directly from a living room, for example, without having to enter the boiler room.
It is only this pluggable control unit that allows convenient monitoring of the entire system directly from the living area, without requiring the great effort of two control units connected in parallel.
It is also expedient if the operating part has a display device and selection and input keys, preferably comprising a text display, the computer being able to specify the measures required for operating the system in sequence via the text display.
As a result, not only can the correspondingly retrievable data, such as all measured values, set programs, etc., be displayed in a manner that is easy for the layperson to understand, but the individual measures, inputs, etc. to be taken can also be specified in plain text when programming the computer that the operation of the control device and thus the system is completely problem-free. Just as the setting of the computer is made considerably easier by the font display, the defect that occurs is named the same for every fault message and is therefore also shown in a way that is easy for a layperson to do, so that something can be done immediately and, above all, specifically against these faults.
The drawing shows, for example, a heating and process water preparation system for a family home with a control device according to the invention in a system diagram.
There is a combined heating and hot water system with a boiler --1-- for oil and a boiler --2-- for solid fuels as well as a heat pump --3--, whereby the heating pipes - 4, 5- the boiler - -1, 2-- or the heat pump --3-- are connected to a buffer tank --6--. Distributors --7-- are supplied via this buffer memory --6--, from which two control circuits -8, 9-- and the heating circuit --10-- for charging the domestic hot water heater --11-- originate.
To control the entire system, a computer --12-- is provided, which consists of a computer part --12a-- installed in the boiler room and a plug-in control unit --12b--.
This a font display --13-- and a keyboard --14-- for program selection, data entry and. The like control unit --12b-- is assigned to the computer part --12a-- corresponding line-connected connector --15--, which is arranged for example in a living room, so that the control part --12b-- optionally on the computer part - -12a-- or at the connector --15-- and the system can also be conveniently operated and monitored from the living area.
The computer section --12a-- are now connected to outside temperature sensors --16--, room temperature

can be changed, u. between the desired boiler temperature, the maximum room temperature, the heating curves of the two control loops and their base points as well as the temperature reductions of these two control loops.
Furthermore, a time program for lowering the control loops, loading the boiler, activating the zone valves --24, 25-- of the two control loops-8, 9- and for actuating the domestic hot water circulation pump --26-- can be entered.
The computer section --12a-- now compares the measured values entered in analog form with the permanently stored data and controls the burner --27-- of the boiler and the heat pump --3-- depending on the program selected, depending on the type of energy and operating mode. , the boiler loading pump --28-, the buffer storage loading pump --29--, the domestic hot water circulation pump --26--, the changeover valve --30-- for switching the heat pump-3 on and off,
EMI3.1
always results in an optimal interaction of the individual units of the system.
In order to be able to identify faulty reactions of the units and operational deficiencies, there are fault lines leading to the control unit --12a--, so that any faults that occur can be reported immediately by the display device --13-- on the control unit --12b--. For example, there is a safety thermostat and fire protection switch for reporting burner faults
EMI3.2
and the emergency switch-36-- connected burner fault line-37 -, heat pump faults one to the flow switch --38-- and a feed water temperature sensor-39-connected heat pump fault line-40-and also the release of the
Heat pump operation by the approval line taking into account the power plant --41--.
Of course, other malfunctions and influencing factors, such as temperatures that are too low for heat pump operation and malfunctions in boiler operation - for solid fuels, etc., can also be reported in a similar manner.
The font display-13-of the control unit-12b-allows laymen to easily view the data and operating statuses that can be called up, and of course also the fault messages. In addition, the appropriate programming for monitoring and operating the system can be specified by the written display, so that the user only has to do what is prescribed by the computer in order to control the System.
