Outlet tap with safety valve to prevent impurities from being sucked into the drinking water pipe.
The invention relates to safety valves for drinking water pipes, which shut off the pipe when a suction effect occurs and thereby prevent contaminants from penetrating the pipe. According to the invention, this valve is in
EMI1.1
can be exchanged.
The drawing shows an embodiment of such a valve in Fig. 1 in front view, in Fig. 2 in section.
At the end of the inlet pipe a of the tap, an attachment piece b is screwed, which ends in an opening c and contains the safety valve. The latter can be carried out in various ways. In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawing, the valve body d is designed hemispherical and provided with a rod e which is movable in a guide f.
The water pressure from the pipe causes the valve to move when the tap is opened so that the water can flow out without difficulty.
As soon as the water stops flowing, the coil spring pulls the valve back onto its seat i. back and the line is closed from the outside air, even when the tap is open. The valve is pressed more and more into its seat when the tap. behaves in such a condition that he can suck in. The strength of the spring g must be such that it allows the valve to open as soon as the outflowing water exerts only a slight pressure on the valve.
