Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Gleitschutzdecke für Automobil-Pneumatiks. welche sich dadurch kennzeichnet, dass die gebräuchlichen gehärteten Stahlplatten, welche konisch ausgebohrt sind, mittels Hohlniet derart befestigt sind, dass die flachen Köpfe der Niete innen liegen und der hohle Schaftteil derart konisch aufgetrieben ist, dass er das konische Loch der Metallplatte in seiner ganzen Länge ausfüllt. Diese Nietung gewährt zugleich don grossen Vorteil, dass sie leicht, rasch und sicher durch Pressung auszuführen ist. Dabei kann die Platte und mit ihr der Niet bis auf eine ganz geringe Stärke abgenutzt worden, ohne dass eine Lockerung oder ein Abspringen der Platte durch Lösung oder Abnutzung des Nietes eintreten kann.
