<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
- anliegen.

Doors have been significantly improved compared to the previously known constructions with metal parts, since the wooden cladding acts as thermal insulation. A window or a door which is designed according to the invention therefore has a K value below 2 and therefore corresponds to the modern requirements with regard to the thermal insulation of rooms, so that heating energy is saved. Since the wooden cladding is not a load-bearing element and this wooden cladding can also be easily replaced, the renewal of a protective coating is not as important as with a frame made entirely of wood.
In most cases, a single protective coat of wood can be used to get the job done, since the wood lies on the inside of the room and is therefore not exposed to the weather.
But above all, by connecting the wooden part with the metal profile on the
Insulating material, such as polyurethane foam, achieved the advantage that the uneven
Thermal expansion of the metal and the wood can be absorbed without causing cracks in the
Wood paneling can come. The wooden cladding is therefore preserved intact, so that good thermal insulation or the avoidance of cold bridges is maintained over very long periods. The webs protruding into the recesses in the wood cladding ensure that the insulating material adheres well to both the metal profile and the wood cladding and at the same time achieves a labyrinthine sealing effect.
Furthermore, the insulating material prevents direct heat transfer from the metal base body to the wooden cladding, so that additional thermal insulation is achieved.
According to a development of the invention, the recesses are undercut, the
Ridges engage positively in these recesses. This results in a simple one
Type of connection between the metal profile and the wooden cladding, which enables particularly good adhesion of the insulating material and at the same time allows a relative movement between the metal profile and the wooden cladding. The insulation material can be introduced into the cavities remaining between the projections and the walls of the recesses by spraying them out.
In the drawing, the invention is shown schematically using an exemplary embodiment, which shows a section through the frame and casement of a window designed according to the invention.
The base frame anchored in the masonry l has a metal profile - made of aluminum, which has on one side two webs --3-- protruding diagonally from its surface, via which it is connected with a wooden cladding --4-- . The webs - engage in a dovetail-shaped recess --5-- in the wooden cladding --4-- and rest on opposite side walls of this recess. The wooden cladding can therefore be easily connected to the metal profile --2-- by sliding it onto the webs --3-- perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. The space of the recess --5-- that remains between the two webs is sprayed with polyurethane foam --6--.
This polyurethane foam --6-- is not only an insulating material, whereby the heat transfer between the metal profile --2-- and the wooden cladding --4-- is deteriorated as desired, but also causes a glue between the metal profile --2 - and the wooden cladding --4--, so that it can no longer be moved. In addition, this polyurethane foam --6-- can absorb any condensate that may form, so that it is not undesirably absorbed by the wooden cladding --5--.
In the illustrated embodiment, the wood cladding --4-- is only provided on the inside of the metal profile --2--. However, it is of course possible to provide this wooden cladding on the inside and outside of the metal profile --2--.
The sash frame of the window shown, like the stick frame, is made of a metal profile --8-- made of aluminum and a wooden cladding --9--. In the metal profile --8-- the glazing is --10-- z. B. thermal glass. Instead of the single glazing shown, double glazing can of course also be provided.
The wooden cladding --9-- is attached to the metal profile --8-- as is the wooden cladding --4-- to the metal profile --2-- by means of protruding webs --3--, which are on opposite sides of the dovetail trained recess --5-- of the wooden cladding

- issue. Again, the rest of the groove --5-- is sprayed with polyurethane foam.
The glazing --10-- is held by a glazing bead 7-, which is connected to the wooden cladding --9--. Between the glazing --10-- and a nose --11-- of the glazing bead --7-- or between the glazing --10-- and a profiled extension --12-- of the metal profile --8-- Sealing rubber strips --13-- inserted. Additional sealing rubber strips --15-- are inserted in a groove --14-- of the wooden cladding --9- as well as in a groove --16- of the metal profile --2-- and thereby seal the movable wing part against the fixed frame from.
