Diese Zone kann daher nur durch Ncbendruck mit Masse gefüllt werden und ausserdem wird die Masse auch noch von diesen der Formwand zugekehrten Breitseiten der Stege durch die Zentrifugalkraft abgeschleudert.
Bei einer solchen Lage des Streckmetalles zur Drehrichtung werden deshalb leicht Hohlräume mit Luft oder Wasser gefüllt in der Rohrwandung entstehen, die Veranlassung zu Blasen und Rissen, sowie zu lockeren und undichten Stellen im Massemantel geben.
Wählt, man dagegen die Drehrichtung der Rohrform so, dass die der Rohrachse zugekehrte Breitseite der Stege in der Drehrichtung hinten liegt, so wird die Masse in der Richtung der Stege angeschleudert, kalul also höchstens die Schmalseiten der Stege treffen. Die resultierende Kraft, welche das Anschleudern der Masse bewirkt, kann in diesem Falle ungehindert auf die ganze Fläche der von den Stegen begrenzten Masche einwirken und presst die gesamte daselbst befindliche Masse gleichmässig mit aller Kraft in die Masche hinein.
